  • Patent number: 8996703
Abstract: A power-saving synchronization of refresh requesting messages transmitted from a client terminal (31) to different server terminals (33a, 33b) in multiple soft-state dialogues, e.g. in SIP. The synchronization involves a continuous detection of a large time offset (34) occurring between the refresh requesting messages in the different dialogues, and an adjustment of the negotiated length of the refresh interval indicated in the refresh requesting messages, such that the client terminal will transmit the refresh requesting messages approximately simultaneously to the different server terminals.

  • Patent number: 8983058
Abstract: The present invention relates to an echo canceller (300) for estimating a model of an echo signal and a method thereof. The echo canceller comprises at least an adaptive main filter (301) for modeling the echo signal and an adaptive shadow filter (302) for modeling the echo signal. The adaptive main filter is an adaptive filter for which the adaptation speed is proportional to a system noise estimate and the adaptation speed of the shadow filter (302) is faster than the adaptation speed of the adaptive main filter (301). The echo canceller (300) comprises a processor (303) for determining whether the adaptive shadow filter models the echo signal better than the adaptive main filter and an updater (304) for updating the system noise estimate of the adaptive main filter (301) if the adaptive shadow filter models (302) the echo signal better than the adaptive main filter (301).

  • Publication number: 20150058002
Abstract: A method of detecting wind noise in an audio signal includes calculating a power spectrum of the current frame, evaluating whether the current frame is non-stationary, evaluating whether an energy content of the current frame is concentrated at low frequencies and evaluating whether a periodicity is present in the power spectrum. The method further includes determining the presence of wind noise without speech in the current frame if the current frame is non-stationary, the energy content is concentrated at low frequencies, and a periodicity is not present. The periodicity of the power spectrum is analyzed using cepstrum coefficients. An improved wind noise detection may be achieved by analyzing the spectral characteristics of recorded audio signals.

  • Patent number: 8938352
Abstract: A method for controlling a cruise control operable to maintain a set speed of a vehicle according to a plurality of goal droop curves is provided. The goal droop curves include: an isochronous droop curve; a top droop curve; and a bottom droop curve. The method includes performing command according to the droop curves; registering that the vehicle soon will enter an uphill slope; estimating in a vehicle position before entering the uphill slope if a downshift in a transmission of the vehicle will occur when traveling the uphill slope during a coming time period (testimation); if the downshift is estimated to occur then performing a fuel saving action during the time period in order to avoid the downshift. The fuel saving action is one of an adaptation of transmission downshifting limits or to during the time period performing command according to a second isochronous curve.

  • Publication number: 20140378804
Abstract: A method of providing a metal coating on a substrate (10), and electrically insulating sections/parts of the metal coated substrate from each other. A substrate is provided with an insulating material in the substrate, the insulating first material extending through the thickness of the substrate and protruding above one surface of the substrate. It forms an enclosed section/portion (14) of the substrate. A protective structure (15) is provided on the insulating material such that it covers the entire circumference thereof. The insulating material is selectively etched to create an under-etch (18) under the protective structure. Finally conductive material (19) is deposited to provide a metal coating over the substrate, whereby the under-etch will provide a disruption in the deposited metal coating, thereby electrically insulating the enclosed section from the surrounding substrate.
