Abstract: An accommodative intraocular lens includes a first lens part, a haptic, and a flexible membrane. The flexible membrane is arranged adjacent to a distal optical body surface, delimits a cavity together with the distal optical body surface and is transparent to light. A second lens part has a hollow cylinder coupled releasably to the first lens part, as a result of which the intraocular lens can be brought into a coupling state in which the second lens part is arranged on a distal side of the first lens part and the hollow cylinder is configured to deform the membrane by a longitudinal displacement of the hollow cylinder parallel to the optical axis. The hollow cylinder has on its exterior an outer face and a bearing face arranged adjacent to a proximal end of the outer face and encloses, with the outer face, an angle of less than 180°.

Abstract: The various implementations described herein include methods and devices for recommending phrases for data visualizations. In one aspect, a method includes presenting a data visualization page to a user, the page including a first region for displaying a data visualization and a second region for phrase recommendations. The method further includes obtaining a dataset selected by the user, the dataset including a plurality of fields; and generating a first set of phrase recommendations based on the dataset, each phrase recommendation corresponding to a respective field. The method also includes displaying the first set of phrase recommendations in the second region; and receiving a user selection of a first phrase. The method further includes, in response to the user selection: presenting a data visualization in the first region using the first phrase; and displaying a second set of phrase recommendations generated based on the first phrase.

Abstract: Systems, methods, devices and computer readable media for determining a geographical location of a license plate are described herein. A first image of a license plate is acquired by a first image acquisition device of a camera unit and a second image of the license plate is acquired by a second image acquisition device of the camera unit. A three-dimensional position of the license plate relative to the camera unit is determined based on stereoscopic image processing of the first image and the second image. A geographical location of the camera unit is obtained. A geographical location of the license plate is determined from the three-dimensional position of the license plate relative to the camera unit and the geographical location of the camera unit. Other systems, methods, devices and computer readable media for detecting a license plate and identifying a license plate are described herein.

Abstract: A solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is disclosed, including anode in contact with a fuel source, a first catalyst can include rhodium in contact with an oxidizer source, a cathode in contact with the oxidizer source, and an electrolyte disposed between the anode and the cathode. Implementations of the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) can include a reactor where first catalyst is in contact with the oxidizer source or a reactor with a second catalyst in contact with the fuel source. The oxidizer may include nitrous oxide, nitrogen tetraoxide, mixed oxides of nitrogen, or a combination thereof. The fuel may include ammonia, hydrazine, monomethyl hydrazine, symmetric monomethyl hydrazine, or a combination thereof. A method of providing a catalyst to an electrode for a solid oxide fuel cell is also disclosed.

Abstract: A battery charger capable of receiving AC power and delivering both AC and DC power to an electric power storage battery in accordance to different embodiments disclosed herein using a rectifier circuit supplying the DC load and absorbing power as a five-level active rectifier with low harmonics on the AC input. In one aspect, the battery charger may have a bidirectional rectifier/inverter converter providing power conversion between a DC source and AC enabling the user to not only charge an electrical vehicle (“EV”) but also convert the energy charged in the EV/battery or solar panel to AC for use.

Abstract: A method for controlling congestion in intermittently-connected and lossy computer networks comprising: determining, at a local network node, a payoff score for each of a plurality of active flows of network traffic, wherein each active flow consists of a stream of in-transit packets at the local network node that come from a common source and share a common destination, wherein each active flow's payoff score is based on a pricing model that considers both a sojourn time and a position in a queue of each of an active flow's constituent packets; allocating unused buffer space across all active flows in the local network node based on relative traffic loads with a buffer-space allocation (BSA) agent; and controlling a rate at which packets from all active flows are received at the local network node with a hop-by-hop local-flow-control (LFC) agent according to each flow's payoff score.

Abstract: A production plant for producing nitric acid at reduced power, the system derived from a state-of-the art mono pressure nitric acid plant wherein the system further includes a first feature for splitting a tail gas stream into a first tail gas stream in fluid communication with an oxygen-rich gas and with compressed air and a second tail gas stream, and/or a second feature for splitting a tail gas stream into a third tail gas stream in fluid communication with an oxygen-rich gas and with compressed air and a fourth tail gas stream, a feature for pressurizing a gas downstream the absorption tower. The production plant allows for reduction of power by the air compressor. A method for operating the system, the use of the system for performing the method of the disclosure, and a method for revamping a state-of-the art mono pressure nitric acid plant into the system.

The compositions may comprise neat hydrolyzable organosilanes and from 0.1 to 5 wt. %, based on the total weight of the composition, of the alkylsilyl group-containing cellulose. The compositions having a viscosity resembling paint or coating compositions and are suitable for use as treating or coating compositions that confer water resistance to cementititious substrates.

Abstract: The present invention relates to obeticholic acid: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate or amino acid conjugate thereof. Obeticholic acid is useful for the treatment or prevention of a FXR mediated disease or condition, cardiovascular disease or cholestatic liver disease, and for reducing HDL cholesterol, for lowering triglycerides in a mammal, or for inhibition of fibrosis. The present invention also relates to processes for the synthesis of obeticholic acid.
