  • Patent number: 12194272
Abstract: A delivery device for intravenous delivery of microparticles to a patient. The delivery device is fluidly connectable to (i) a first source of an injection medium and (ii) a second source of an injection medium. The delivery device includes: a first fluid inlet fluidly connectable to the first source of the injection medium, a fluid outlet, a fluid mixer fluidly connecting the first fluid inlet to the fluid outlet, a second fluid inlet fluidly connectable to the second source of the injection medium, and a source of microparticles fluidly connecting the second fluid inlet to the fluid mixer. When fluid flows from the second source of the injection medium into the delivery device: the second injection medium fluidly drives microparticles from the source of microparticles into the fluid mixer, and the fluid outlet dispenses to the patient an injection medium that includes the microparticles.

  • Patent number: 12197245
Abstract: A seamless interface with touchscreen functionality and the method of manufacture are disclosed. An apparatus utilizing the seamless interface with touchscreen functionality, and a method of manufacturing the apparatus are similarly disclosed. The seamless interface has a front member, adhesive means, and a support member with an opening. The apparatus includes a touchscreen device, a rear member, and the seamless interface. The rear member secures the touchscreen device in the opening of the support member, which thereby contacts the front member of the seamless interface. Partially laminating the front member with the support member having an opening utilizing an adhesive means creates the seamless interface. This design enables the touchscreen functionality of the touchscreen device placed behind the front member to transfer through the front member, thereby allowing a user to communicate with the touchscreen device through the seamless interface.

  • Patent number: 12194297
Abstract: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) can be used to treat many neurological conditions beyond traditional movement disorders. When patients do not suffer from traditional movement disorders, medical professionals cannot use traditional observation-based methods to configure the DBS system. A new method for selecting stimulation configurations can include recording internal data and external data as the patient performs (or attempts to perform) a motor task. The internal data is electrophysiology data recorded by a plurality of DBS electrodes, used to identify at least one of the plurality of electrodes closest to a neuronal population involved in control of the at least one motor task. The external data is electroencephalogram (EEG) data recorded by scalp electrodes, which is used to select at least one of the potential stimulation electrodes to deliver the DBS. When the electrode(s) delivering the DBS are selected, optimal parameters for the DBS are then chosen.

  • Patent number: 12198683
Abstract: Techniques for configuring device-specific skills as top-level skills are described. When a system receives a user input the system performs NLU processing to determine an intent of the user input. In some instances, the system may identify a device-specific skill associated with the device interacted with by the user. At least partially in parallel to performing NLU processing to determine the intent of the user input, the system may also perform NLU processing to determine a likelihood that the user input corresponds to an intent actionable by the device-specific skill. Once the system has finished NLU processing, the system may implement one or more prioritization rules to determine whether the user input should be sent to the device-specific skill or another skill of the system.

  • Patent number: 12200279
Abstract: Devices, servers, systems and methods for content protection are provided. Disclosed embodiments improve temporal granularity of controlling access to the protected content and increase resilience against attacks attempting to prevent re-evaluation of conditions of access. Enforcement of re-evaluation may be based on the receipt and/or verification of tokens. In some embodiments, re-evaluation is enforced by periodically rendering content keys required for content decryption unuseable and/or clearing content keys already in use.

  • Patent number: 12198723
Abstract: A shingled magnetic recording (SMR) hard disk drive (HDD) receives a read command for data associated with a range of logical block addresses (LBAs). In situations where a first portion of valid data associated with the range of LBAs is stored in an SMR region of the HDD and a second portion of valid data associated with the range of LBAs is stored in a non-SMR region of the HDD, the first portion is read from the SMR region in a single disk access and copied to a first buffer of the HDD, and the second portion is read from the non-SMR region in one or more disk accesses and copied to a second buffer of the HDD. The valid data associated with the range of LBAs stored in the second buffer are copied to the first buffer to be combined with valid data associated with the range of LBAs stored in the first buffer, and the combined valid data is then transferred to the host to complete execution of the read command.
