  • Publication number: 20240070017
Abstract: Aspects of a storage device including a memory and a controller are provided. The controller may determine to perform garbage collection on a superblock. During the garbage collection process, the controller will typically move the superblock into an erase pool for erasing the superblock. However, aspects of the disclosure are directed to a method of measuring a raw bit error rate (RBER) of the superblock prior to erasure. The measured RBER may be used to estimate a data retention time of the storage device and provide the customer with an early warning notification if a health metric of the storage devices reaches a threshold retention time.

  • Patent number: 11915823
Abstract: In some aspects, the described systems and methods provide for validating performance of a model trained on a plurality of annotated pathology images. A pathology image is accessed. Frames are generated using the pathology image. Each frame in the set includes a distinct portion of the pathology image. Reference annotations are received from one or more users. The reference annotations describe at least one of a plurality of tissue or cellular characteristic categories for one or more frames in the set. Each frame in the set is processed using the trained model to generate model predictions. The model predictions describe at least one of the tissue or cellular characteristic categories for the processed frame. Performance of the trained model is validated based on determining a degree of association between the reference annotations and the model predictions for each frame and/or across all frames in the set of frames.

  • Patent number: 11915803
Abstract: A system and method for extracting data from an electronic health record to provide provider and patient data similarity scoring includes: encoding a problem list for a plurality of patients with concepts from a common electronic health record ontology. In one aspect, the patients have electronic health records maintained by a plurality of providers. The system and method then may parse the concepts into a plurality of clusters or categories and determining, for each of the providers, a total number of patients that have at least one problem in a cluster or category or determining, for each patient, which of the plurality of clusters or categories correspond to at least one concept encoded in the patient's problem list. The system and method then may calculate for each pair of providers or patients, a distance between the providers or patients.

  • Publication number: 20230351030
Abstract: Under Backend Application Session Management (“BASM”), a DBMS not only creates an application session but also the respective adjunct security context to which to attach the adjunct security context. The middle tier does not need to create the application session or its adjunct security context. Instead, the middle tier sends an end-user token that the middle tier piggybacks to database requests that are sent through database connections. The end-user token identifies an end user and has been authenticated by the middle tier. The generation of the end-user token is concomitant to the process of the middle tier authenticating the end user. The DBMS invokes a user-defined function to generate an adjunct security context. The user-defined function generates the adjunct security context based on the end-user token. Application developers can customize the user-defined function to customize backend security for their needs.

  • Patent number: 10911911
Abstract: A control device to provide control of electrical devices based on timing information. The control device stores device operational information which indicates an association between timing information and a plurality of operational modes for each of a set of electrical devices associated with a physical space. The control device detects a presence of a user within the physical space. The user is associated with an electronic apparatus. The control device further compares other timing information captured at a time of the detection of the presence of the user with the timing information. The control device determines an operational mode from the plurality of operational modes for each of the set of electrical devices based on the comparison.
