  • Patent number: 12235043
Abstract: The present disclosure provides, among other things, methods of drying porcine thyroid gland material and manufacturing DTE comprising vacuum drying porcine thyroid gland material in a way such that the temperature of the porcine thyroid gland material is maintained above a threshold temperature. Since applying vacuum, or reducing pressure, has a cooling effect on the porcine thyroid gland material, maintaining the porcine thyroid gland material above a threshold temperature can be achieved by gradually reducing pressure while simultaneously increasing the heat applied to the porcine thyroid gland material during the period of gradual pressure change. Such methods are advantageous in reducing bioburden (killing and impeding the growth of microorganisms) while maintaining therapeutic levels of thyroid hormones, as compared to certain methods of drying porcine thyroid gland material and/or manufacturing DTE known in the art.

  • Patent number: 11973577
Abstract: In some examples, one or more processors configured by executable instructions may receive an audio signal and data to embed in the audio signal. For example, the data may be received dynamically from one or more data sources. The one or more processors may embed the received data in real time into the audio signal as embedded data based at least in part on controlling a phase angle of a selected frequency component of the audio signal. For instance, the embedded data may include at least one of text, a bar code, a quick response code, an image, a uniform resource locator (URL), or multimedia content. Additionally, the one or more processors may send the audio signal with the embedded data over a network to a plurality of electronic devices that include respective decoders for extracting the embedded data from the audio signal.

  • Patent number: 11910291
Abstract: An electronic material sensor for a container, such as a dispenser for paper or liquid materials, or a waste receptacle, in a facility such as a restroom. The material sensor may be adapted to fit inside an existing material dispenser. The material sensor provides wireless data transmission of the level of liquid or paper material in the container. A traffic sensor senses presence of people in the facility. An electronic beacon assigned to a user, such as a cleaning staff, tracks location of the user in the facility. In a system employing one or more sensors, including material sensors, traffic sensors, and beacons, the sensors send real-time data to a base station running a software application, to give details about levels of the materials and facility usage, and the location of cleaning staff.
