Abstract: Oxygen-charged (or oxygen-rich) implantable medical devices for and methods of local delivery of oxygen via outgassing is disclosed. The presently disclosed oxygen-charged implantable medical devices are, for example, polymeric implants that are functionalized to locally deliver oxygen from the implant surface for prolonged periods of time, thus increasing rates of healing and reducing rates of infection as compared with conventional medical implant devices.

Abstract: Enhanced input field features and techniques for displaying and resolving location information in meeting items are provided. In response to a user's interaction with a place name displayed in the location field of a user interface for a meeting item, up to date information is retrieved about the location associated with the place name from a web service and displayed. The display can include a map image tile. In addition to enabling the displaying of up to date information, during creation of the meeting item, the location input field of a meeting item can present location suggestions from within the location input field, for example, as a drop-down listing of possible locations. The suggestions for completing a user's input text string to the location input field can be obtained from sources such as a web service, a mailbox, a managed database/directory service, a history cache/database or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Disclosed are devices and methods for measuring lung respiration volume including processor means for receiving a detected series of heart beats, measuring variability between a period of successive beats, identifying the start and finish of successive breaths by the maxima and minima in the period, identifying the amplitude of variability of period between successive breaths, and thereby determining a value for a measurement of an extent of lung respiration, and output means for generating the value for the measurement of the extent of lung respiration. The disclosed devices and methods have applications in different medical fields. The disclosed devices can be utilised as wearable devices, wherein the signals are generated and may be processed remotely or locally.

Abstract: An oceanographic sensor mooring section for use with standard oceanographic moorings comprising: mooring oceanographic equipment, such as floatation devices and sensors; and a subsurface power generation unit connected to the mooring oceanographic equipment, wherein the mooring section has connective swivels at opposing ends thereof for attachment of the mooring section to standard oceanographic moorings, mooring lines, or mooring anchors, to allow the mooring section to independently orient in the direction of current flow. The subsurface power generation unit comprises a battery and power management/tracking electronics and a rim turbine generating unit that harnesses the power of underwater currents to power any sensors and related electronics equipment.

Abstract: A system and method for managing customer premise equipment (CPE) devices. A wake signal is issued to the CPE device. Action parameters are communicated to the CPE device in response to receiving acknowledgement of the wake signal from the CPE device. A management session is established with the CPE device utilizing an address for secure communications in response to the CPE device acknowledging the action parameters. Communications are performed through the management session to perform operation, administration, and maintenance of the CPE device. The management session with the CPE device is terminated.

Abstract: An improved three-dimensional structure and method and system of making same is provided, wherein the method for forming the three-dimensional structure comprises: coating a filament with a curable resin; directing a first portion of the coated filament around a plurality of pins fixed to and extending outwardly from a frame, the coated filament directed to intersect according to a pre-set pattern, the coated filament forming a first filament layer; directing a second portion of the coated filament about said pins forming one or more subsequent filament layers aligned and in contact with the first filament layer, the filament layers collectively forming a filament stack, the filament stack having a predetermined height and defining the intersecting panel elements; and curing the curable resin such that it hardens and retains the individual filament layers forming the filament stack in a three-dimensional shape.

Abstract: Access to attachments of electronic messages and information associated with the electronic messages to applications external to a messaging application is provided. A message including an attachment is received via a messaging application, and a relationship connecting the message to the attachment is stored in a graph database. When a request is made to display a file list, an API is used to interact with the graph database. Attachments that meet a criterion associated with the file list and associated metadata are included in the list. Responsive to a selection to open an attachment, a productivity application communicates with the messaging application to retrieve the attachment and associated messages, and displays the attachment in a content display region and associated messages and messaging application functionalities in a communications pane in a single productivity application user interface.

The protocol includes the use of a CCL17 signaling antagonist alone or in combination with another analgesic compound to treat pain associated with inflammatory conditions. Abstract: An embodiment of a method for filtering a digital media file includes receiving a selection of a first maturity level, and receiving a media content rating table including at least one media rating entry. Each media rating entry includes a location indicator indicating a predetermined portion of the digital media file and a maturity rating indicator corresponding to a maturity rating of the predetermined portion. The method further includes receiving the digital media file, and modifying at least one predetermined portion of the digital media file if the indicated maturity rating of the at least one predetermined portion is greater than the selected first maturity level to produce a first modified digital media file.

Abstract: A water mill, power generator, for use underwater, has a flexible support shaft which permits the water current to orient the turbine axis substantially parallel to the direction of flow so that the force of the water on the blades is optimized for a given turbine, without the need for slip ring style connections between the generator at the turbine and the 5 anchored base. Optionally, the design features fins or cowlings on the flexible support shaft to further improve reorientation of the turbine with the water current or flow acting as the source of power; and/or output power links or power conditioning systems at the anchored base. The generators may be selected to meet low rotation operating conditions, and the entire system may be designed for particular ocean bottom and/or current parameters applicable to the 10 deployment.
