  • Patent number: 11954997
Abstract: A fluid dispenser with a fluid pump for dispensing fluid on movement of an actuator, and an air pump for delivering a stream of air through at least one sound generator on movement of the actuator. The sound generator produces at least two sounds as the actuator is moved from a first position to a second position, with each sound produced in a different time period during a cycle of operation, or differing from the other sound in respect of one or more detectable sound characteristics, such as duration, frequency, temporal alignment, amplitude, and/or timbre. The time period of each sound is a function of the relative location of the actuator between the first and second positions.

  • Publication number: 20240091832
Abstract: Provided is a process for converting biomass waste to a solid carbon product. The process comprises passing the biomass waste batchwise into a reactor comprising a twin screw conveyor. The reactor is heated at a temperature of, e.g., 300-450° C. to avoid cracking of the hydrocarbons in the biomass waste. The biomass waste is passed with heating and mixing along the length of the reactor, and a solid carbon product is collected from the reactor. The solid carbon products can be buried to provide a more permanent removal of the carbon.

  • Publication number: 20240094185
Abstract: A process is hereby provided for monitoring the progress of pyrolysis reactions. Effluent from the pyrolysis reaction is fed to a catalytic reactor to catalytically combust the carbon in the pyrolysis exhaust gases to carbon dioxide. The CO2 is then subsequently measured. This allows for the efficient and accurate quantification of total organic carbon evolved from the reaction with time. This provides a more accurate surrogate for reaction progress than time or temperature. This technique is more accurate and provides faster response than other analytical techniques such as mass spectrometry and flame ionization detection. More accurate reaction monitoring allows for improved reaction control, optimization and the ability to utilize variable feedstocks.

  • Publication number: 20240093094
Abstract: A process is hereby provided for permanently (>1000 years) reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The process involves the cultivation of tree and plant waste (biomass), the conversion of the biomass in a reactor to a carbon product, e.g., charcoal, and subsequent storage of the carbon product. The reactor used for conversion is run at a low temperature, e.g., 300-450° C. Thus, there is negligible cracking. The product is primarily a solid carbon product, which is safe and can be easily handled. The carbon product can also be safely stored. In one embodiment, the carbon product is buried in a location that is tested for limited oxygen at burial depths. The permanence of the CO2 reduction is therefore assured.

  • Publication number: 20240082744
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of amusement rides, and particularly the field of flying theatres. The present invention improves on previous flying theaters in that it provides guests greater motion, and additional types of motion accomplished in unique ways, while being more cost effective than existing flying theaters. The performance parameters of the theater give it the unique ability to not only smoothly replicate the motion of a light flying experience but also simulate motions that are more aggressive than in existing flying theater rides. Guests experience turbulence and more exciting experiences that would otherwise be sacrificed due to limitations in the range of motion or quality of experience of existing rides that would take the rider out of the experience.

  • Patent number: 11922562
Abstract: Disclosed herein is methods and systems for providing different views to a viewer. One particular embodiment includes a method including providing, to a neural network, a plurality of 2D images of a 3D object. The neural network may include a signed distance function based sinusoidal representation network. The method may further include obtaining a neural model of a shape of the object by obtaining a zero-level set of the signed distance function; and modeling an appearance of the object using a spatially varying emission function. In some embodiments, the neural model may be converted into a triangular mesh representing the object which may be used to render multiple view-dependent images representative of the 3D object.

  • Patent number: 11835497
Abstract: In the present system and method, a conduit from a LC device continuously transports solvent, buffers, and analytes to the inlet of a solvent removal and analyte conversion device which evaporates the solvents, leaving non-volatile analytes for detection. The device comprises a rotating disk. The liquid chromatograph device can be any device using liquid chromatography to separate molecules. The solvents in the LC effluent can include, but are not limited to, water, methanol, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran, and acetone. After removal of the volatile components, the non-volatile analytes are converted with a concentrated energy source so that they may be detectable.
