The path variant may be selected as a least frequented path variant or may be selected as having carried the least amount of weight.

In some embodiments, a ratio of the second lateral thickness to the first lateral thickness is less than three.

The robot can then subsequently detect errors associated with the created map. Methods and systems associated with the robot are also disclosed.
