  • Publication number: 20200150695
Abstract: A sense and avoid (SAA) module of a vehicle may receive a signal indicating a value of an environmental parameter. Additionally, the SAA system determines, based on the value of the environmental parameter, confidences value for a first and a second sensor group. The SAA system is configurable to determine a depth of an object based on signals from the first sensor group and is also configurable to determine the depth of the object based on signals from the second sensor group. The SAA system may determine, based on the depth of the object determined based on the signals from the first sensor group, the confidence value for the first sensor group, the depth of the object determined based on the signals from the second sensor group, and the confidence value for the second sensor group, a final 3-dimensional position of the object.

  • Patent number: 10549395
Abstract: A hand tool enabling self-aligned placement and post alignment clamping of a surface mounted tooling element and a method for manufacturing such a tool. Using an additive manufacturing process, a tool housing may be manufactured in which one or more internal voids allow insertion and rotational movement along and about a longitudinal axis of the housing, respectively, of a member having a radially extending portion. A handle and a brace may be coupled to the proximal and distal ends of the member to facilitate operation of the tool and placement of the surface mounted tooling element, respectively. Such member may also be spring loaded to enable the tool to clamp itself to a workpiece during the mounting operation, with the radially extending member portion limiting rotational travel of the brace.

  • Patent number: 10394327
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for generating virtual environment displays based on a group of sensors are provided. A computing device can receive first data about an environment from a first group of one or more sensors. The computing device can model the environment as a virtual environment based on the first data. The computing device can determine whether to obtain additional data to model the environment. After determining to obtain additional data to model the environment, the computing device can: receive second data about the environment, and model the environment as the virtual environment based on at least the second data. The computing device can generate a display of the virtual environment.
