  • Publication number: 20170307685
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a testing mechanism determines a status of circuits within a chip by analyzing fail signatures on a by-level basis to identify a high probability defect area within the chip. The testing mechanism further determines a whether functionally needed circuitry of the chip intersects with the high probability defect area within the chip and determines the status of the circuits in response to the determining of whether the functionally needed circuitry intersects with the high probability defect area.

  • Publication number: 20170248499
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a sampling apparatus having one or more support structures and two or more sampling molds operatively coupled to the one or more support structures. The two or more sampling molds may be sealed or unsealed. The sampling apparatus is pressurized with a gas and immersed in the molten metal. The two or more sampling molds become unsealed when the mold stops at least partially melt. When the sampling apparatus is depressurized the one or more unsealed sampling molds capture one or more molten metal samples. The sampling apparatus is removed from the molten metal and the samples are removed from the sampling molds and analyzed.

  • Patent number: 9685051
Abstract: An evacuation assistance apparatus for indicating a route within a building or other structure is disclosed. Multiple housings contain laser light line sources for producing a beam of laser light as a linear line. Adjusters are used to alter the laser light line so that the line starts substantially vertically below said housing. The adjusters also allow the line to be directed on to a portion of the wall to highlight an exit doorway. The apparatus is provided as a modular system including multiple sensors making it suitable for installation in many buildings and providing feedback information to prevent or determine the cause of a fire.

  • Patent number: 9669950
Abstract: The present invention provides a capture mechanism for capturing and locking onto the Marman flange located on the exterior surfaces of spacecraft/satellites. The capture mechanism achieves its goal of quickly capturing a client spacecraft by splitting the two basic actions involved into two separate mechanisms. One mechanism performs the quick grasp of the target while the other mechanism rigidises that grasp to ensure that the target is held as firmly as desired.

  • Patent number: 9588177
Abstract: Technical solutions are described for optimizing a set of test configurations used for testing an electronic circuit that includes latches. An example method includes receiving a test configuration that includes settings that initiate a set of predetermined input values and corresponding expected output values. The method also includes evaluating the test configuration by executing the electronic circuit according to the test configuration and recording parametric data during the execution, where the parametric data is representative of switching activity of the latches in the electronic circuit. The evaluation includes analyzing the parametric data to identify presence of a predetermined pattern in the switching activity and selecting the test configuration based on the predetermined pattern being absent/present in the switching activity.

  • Patent number: 9575115
Abstract: A system and method sorts integrated circuit devices. Integrated circuit devices are manufactured on a wafer according to an integrated circuit design using manufacturing equipment. The design produces integrated circuit devices that are identically designed and perform differently based on manufacturing process variations. The integrated circuit devices are for use in a range of environmental conditions, when placed in service. Testing is performed on the integrated circuit devices. Environmental maximums are individually predicted for each device. The environmental maximums comprise ones of the environmental conditions that must not be exceeded for each device to perform above a given failure rate. Each integrated circuit device is assigned at least one of a plurality of grades based on the environmental maximums predicted for each device.

  • Patent number: 9494060
Abstract: A valve timing control having a stator body constructed of a plastic material. The stator body has an annular side wall and a front plate which, together, define a plurality of annularly spaced internal cavities within the stator body. A rotor having a plurality of vanes is positioned within the stator body so that one vane is positioned within each cavity. The rotor is movable relative to the stator body between a first and second rotational position. A plurality of threaded metal inserts are embedded within the stator body and used to attach a metal sprocket to the stator body at a position opposed to the front plate. • Publication number: 20160270496
Abstract: The invention relates to a collapsible luggage bag that improves maneuverability of the bag when a user is towing the bag and collapses to a reduced size to improve portability. In particular, the invention relates to a handle that is slideably interconnected to one or more stays such that the upper ends of the stays change position along the length of the handle as the handle retracts into the luggage. Further, the handle disconnects from one or more of the stays such that the handle, stays, and other frame components collapse and lie in a common plane. This collapsibility improves the portability of the luggage bag when the internal volume of the luggage bag is not used to store items.
