  • Publication number: 20160042615
Abstract: An evacuation assistance apparatus for indicating a route within a building or other structure is disclosed. Multiple housings contain laser light line sources for producing a beam of laser light as a linear line. Adjusters are used to alter the laser light line so that the line starts substantially vertically below said housing. The adjusters also allow the line to be directed on to a portion of the wall to highlight an exit doorway. The apparatus is provided as a modular system including multiple sensors making it suitable for installation in many buildings and providing feedback information to prevent or determine the cause of a fire.

  • Publication number: 20150314893
Abstract: The present invention provides a capture mechanism for capturing and locking onto the Marman flange located on the exterior surfaces of spacecraft/satellites. The capture mechanism achieves its goal of quickly capturing a client spacecraft by splitting the two basic actions involved into two separate mechanisms. One mechanism performs the quick grasp of the target while the other mechanism rigidises that grasp to ensure that the target is held as firmly as desired.

  • Publication number: 20150220465
Abstract: A data processing system 2 includes an interrupt controller having a priority level arbitrator 10 and trigger circuitry 12. The priority level arbitrator 10 and the trigger circuitry 12 operate in parallel to process interrupt signals received by an interrupt signal receiver 6. The trigger circuitry 12 generates a trigger signal initiating interrupt processing before the priority level arbitrator 10 has completed its arbitration determination at an arbitration-completed time. If the interrupt processing triggered by the trigger signal was inappropriate, then is terminated once the result of the arbitration is known after the arbitration-completed time.

  • Publication number: 20150075464
Abstract: A valve timing control having a stator body constructed of a plastic material. The stator body has an annular side wall and a front plate which, together, define a plurality of annularly spaced internal cavities within the stator body. A rotor having a plurality of vanes is positioned within the stator body so that one vane is positioned within each cavity. The rotor is movable relative to the stator body between a first and second rotational position. A plurality of threaded metal inserts are embedded within the stator body and used to attach a metal sprocket to the stator body at a position opposed to the front plate. Two of these inserts also receive the impact load from the rotor.
