  • Publication number: 20230177426
Abstract: A compliance discovery and integration process is implemented in association with a cloud-based security and compliance platform and associated CI/CD framework. The process assumes an existing DevOps-based deployment of a product, such as an enterprise application that executes in a runtime production environment. The technique of this disclosure addresses the problem of misalignment between a compliance policy and the product’s post-deployment regulation posture by providing tools and methods that enable pro-active augmentation of governance and compliance policy during the pre-deployment phase and with respect to a next deployment of the product (e.g., a next or updated version). Thus, when the product is later deployed in its next deployment, its regulation posture (post-deployment) is already consistent with the compliance policy.

  • Publication number: 20230177435
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for automated security and regulatory compliance in association with an enterprise. A set of security and compliance controls that operate in association with the enterprise are provided. One or more compliance policies that are enforced by the set of security and compliance controls are encapsulated according to a common data format. One or more customer-specific security/compliance requirements associated with the enterprise are collected. Using microservices-based modular components, the customer-specific security/compliance requirements are then transformed into machine-readable representations having the common data format and that conform to the one or more compliance policies being enforced by the set of security and compliance controls. The one or more compliance policies including the one or more transformed security/compliance requirements are then activated to facilitate the security and regulatory compliance.

  • Patent number: 11671375
Abstract: Disclosed is a system comprised of different points-of-presence (“PoPs”) that provide software defined hybrid private and public networking for different entity sites. A system PoP may establish and/or maintain different network circuits for accessing different destinations or services. The system PoP may receive a tunnel creation request from a particular site, may obtain entity-defined policies that are specified for the particular site, and may establish a particular network tunnel to the particular site. The system PoP may then route egress traffic with a first classification through a first network circuit with a different quality of service (“QoS”) than egress traffic with a second classification according to the policies. Similarly, the system PoP may route ingress traffic arriving over the first network circuit through the particular network tunnel with a different QoS than ingress traffic arriving over the second network circuit according to the policies.

  • Patent number: 11651291
Abstract: An online system performs predictions for real-time tasks and near real-time tasks that need to be performed by a deadline. A client device receives a real-time machine learning based model associated with a measure of accuracy. If the client device determines that a task can be performed using predictions having less than the specified measure of accuracy, the client device uses the real-time machine learning based model. If the client device determines that a higher level of accuracy of results is required, the client device sends a request to an online system. The online system provides a prediction along with a string representing a rationale for the prediction.

  • Patent number: 11644390
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for contextual data analysis and proactive intervention in industrial plant processes. Each of multiple data streams in an industrial plant are mapped to a common hierarchical data structure, wherein the data streams correspond to respective values or states associated with unit operations, assets, and process streams in the plant. The mapped data streams define hierarchical process relationships between subsets of the unit operations, assets, and process streams. Real-time data is collected to populate at least one level of the hierarchical data structure for certain data streams, wherein future outcomes are predicted for downstream operations based on the collected real-time data for at least one data stream, and at least one other data stream having a defined hierarchical process relationship therewith.
