  • Patent number: 11401918
Abstract: A system and method are provided for controlling a wind turbine. Accordingly, a controller of the wind turbine detects an oscillation in the power output of the wind turbine during a recovery from a transient event. In response to detecting the oscillation, a portion of the power output during a peak phase of the oscillation is stored in an energy storage device. A portion of the stored power is then discharged during a valley phase of the oscillation in order to reduce an amplitude of the oscillation of the power output that is delivered to the power grid.

  • Publication number: 20220224264
Abstract: The system and method described herein provide grid-forming control of a power generating asset having a double-fed generator connected to a power grid. Accordingly, a stator-frequency error is determined for the generator. The components of the stator frequency error are identified as a torsional component corresponding to a drivetrain torsional vibration frequency and a stator component. Based on the stator component, a power output requirement for the generator is determined. This power output requirement is combined with the damping power command to develop a consolidated power requirement for the generator. Based on the consolidated power requirement, at least one control command for the generator is determined and an operating state of the generator is altered.

  • Publication number: 20220197900
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for generating, editing, and optimizing queries using neural networks. In some embodiments, the techniques include training a neural network using a set of performant database queries to automatically learn patterns between different sequences of tokens in performant queries. Once trained, the neural network may receive an incomplete query as input, where the incomplete query includes one or more query tokens. The trained neural network may then perform next token prediction to project a set of one or more additional query tokens that may follow the one or more query tokens in the incomplete query to form a completed, performant query.

  • Publication number: 20220199627
Abstract: Examples herein relate to three-dimensional (3D) dynamic random access memory (DRAM) devices and replacement channel processes for fabricating 3D DRAM devices. In an example, a gate dielectric layer is formed on a sacrificial material, and a gate electrode is formed on the gate dielectric layer. After the gate electrode is formed, the sacrificial material is removed and replaced by a semiconductor material. A channel region of a device (e.g., a transistor) that includes the gate dielectric layer and gate electrode is formed in the semiconductor material. The channel region can be vertical or horizontal with respect to a main surface of a substrate on which the device is formed. A capacitor can be formed, such as before or after the semiconductor material is formed, and is electrically connected to the semiconductor material. The device and the capacitor together can form at least part of a 3D DRAM cell.

  • Publication number: 20220170444
Abstract: A system and method are provided for controlling a wind turbine. Accordingly, a controller of the wind turbine detects a transient grid event and generates a torque command via a drive-train-damper control module. The torque command is configured to establish a default damping level of a torsional vibration resulting from the transient grid event. The controller also determines at least one oscillation parameter relating to the torsional vibration and determines a target generator torque level based thereon. The target generator torque level corresponds to an increased level of damping the torsional vibration relative to the default damping level.
