  • Publication number: 20220233896
Abstract: While facing polluted environments one does not need extreme breath filtering protection all the time. Methods of the art hardly focus on breathability aspect while working on smart masks. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system and method for context aware networked mask with dynamic air impedance for optimum breathability. The system provides a smart mask that regulates the air inlet (by modulating the position/pore size of filtering membrane or by using resizable gel) as per the prevalent risk at that instance. The context aware mask with a mesh network, disclosed herein, comprises sensors and processing unit, which use contextual information and Artificial Intelligence to develop models for generating alerts along with mechanism of dynamically regulating the pore size to ensure breathability by adjusting air impedance.

  • Patent number: 11398729
Abstract: System, methods, and techniques for load management in a microgrid are disclosed. A system of load management includes one or more processors configured to receive a time threshold value defining a time period of power demand in a microgrid, determine a battery rating of the microgrid, and trigger load shedding or load restoration in the microgrid based on one or more of the time threshold value and the battery rating. The load shedding includes selecting and shedding a first load in the microgrid for load shedding, thereby removing a measured power consumption of the selected first load from an overall power consumption of the microgrid by the shedding. The load restoration includes selecting and restoring the first load in the microgrid, there by adding the measured power consumption of the selected first load to an overall power consumption of the microgrid by restoration.

  • Publication number: 20220229719
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for improved error logging during system boot and shutdown. A hardware initialization firmware on a computing device can include a logging module. When errors occur during early system booting or late system shutdown, the firmware can create error logs. The logging module can receive the error logs and prioritize them according to a set of rules. The logging module can select error logs of the highest priority up to a predetermined maximum amount. The logging module can modify the error logs using a shorthand form and write them to nonvolatile random-access memory. The firmware can initialize runtime services and launch an operating system. A system logger on the operating system can retrieve the error logs, save them to a file, and erase them from the memory.

  • Publication number: 20220229781
Abstract: Examples described herein include systems and methods for retaining information about bad memory pages across an operating system reboot. An example method includes detecting, by a first instance of an operating system, an error in a memory page of a non-transitory storage medium of a computing device executing the operating system. The operating system can tag the memory page as a bad memory page, indicating that the memory page should not be used by the operating system. The operating system can also store tag information indicating memory pages of the storage medium that are tagged as bad memory pages. The example method can also include receiving an instruction to reboot the operating system, booting a second instance of the operating system, and providing the tag information to the second instance of the operating system. The operating system can use the tag information to avoid using the bad memory pages.
