  • Patent number: 11041933
Abstract: A wireless node for use in a network of wireless nodes, for performing a localization to determine a location of a mobile device based on respective beacon signals transmitted wirelessly between the mobile device and each of a plurality of the wireless nodes. The first wireless node is configured to: wirelessly transmit or receive the respective beacon signal for use in determining the location of the mobile device; and wirelessly transmit information vouching for one or more others of the wireless nodes as being trusted for use in the localization. This information is transmitted to a device performing the localization (e.g. the mobile device), for use in identifying one or more rogue versions of said wireless nodes.

  • Publication number: 20210182099
Abstract: Scheduling optimizations for services are described. In one example, a priority category, such as a high, low, or other priority category, can be determined for a service of an application executing on a computing device. If the application is running as a background application on the computing device, an exception to the start of the service can be returned by the operating system of the device, due to background execution limits on the device. In that case, the start of the service can be managed by a service manager of the application based on the priority category for the service. If the priority category for the service is high, the background application can call a foreground service. The call for the foreground service can bring the application to the foreground, and the service manager can again call for the start of the service after the foreground service is running.

  • Patent number: 11037640
Abstract: Techniques are provided to reduce neighbor word line interference and charge loss in a multi-pass program operation. In one implementation, the first pass of a multi-pass program operation uses one or more program pulses without performing associated verify tests. The memory cells may be programmed to different intermediate threshold voltage (Vth) distributions in the first program pass. Different bit line voltages can be used to obtain the different intermediate Vth distributions when the single program pulse is applied. In other cases, multiple program pulses are applied without performing verify tests. The intermediate Vth distributions can be provided for the memory cells assigned to the higher data states but not the lower data states, or for memory cells assigned to both the higher and lower data states.

  • Patent number: 11039360
Abstract: An electronic device includes a communication circuitry, a processor electrically connected with the communication circuitry, a memory electrically connected with the processor. The memory stores instructions, when executed, causing the processor to connect the electronic device and a first network using the communication circuitry, determine a first user context among user contexts which are data associated with an operation state of the electronic device, and maintain a connection with the first network based on whether communication quality of the first network meets first communication quality corresponding to the determined first user context or switch from the first network to a second network different from the first network. Various other embodiments recognized from the specification are also possible.

  • Patent number: 11039458
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium at a transmitting user equipment (UE) in a distributed cellular vehicle-to-everything environment are disclosed to determine a schedule for transmissions on subchannels of multiple frequencies based on a set of UE-specific, dynamic, and performance related metrics or criteria. The metrics may include an estimated number of users on a subchannel, a best-bandwidth fit, channel loading conditions, transmission range, and quality requirements of an application, among others. Such a schedule for transmissions on subchannels of multiple frequencies may result in either an improved capacity utilization, an improved communication quality, or both.
