  • Patent number: 8942708
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for helping to manage advanced handoff to a coverage area based on correlation with a geographic region. A mobile station determines that it is in or approaching a defined geographic region, and the mobile station determines from correlation data that the geographic region is correlated with a particular cellular coverage area. The mobile station therefore requests handoff to the cellular coverage area and provides an advanced-handoff indication to cause the serving radio access network to maintain assignment of a radio connection in the coverage area longer than the network would normally, to help allow time for the mobile station to arrive at the coverage area and begin communicating on the radio connection with the network.

  • Patent number: 8940343
Abstract: The present invention relates to a personal care composition. More particularly the present invention relates to stabilization of UVA sunscreen dibenzoylmethane derivatives or even more particularly Parsol 1789™ (4-t-butyl-4?-methoxydibenzoylmethane) in personal care compositions. It is an object of the present invention to provide a personal care composition with relatively long photoprotection efficiency. It is another object of the present invention to stabilize Parsol 1789 by use of a natural substance or materials derived from plants. Surprisingly the present inventors have found that theaflavin or black tea extract having high levels of theaflavin, can act as a photostabilizer for dibenzoylmethane derivatives or Parsol-1789™.

  • Publication number: 20150025236
Abstract: The invention relates to a substantially pure linezolid hydroxide having R-isomer content more than about 99.9% relative to its S-isomer. Further aspect of invention provides the ambient moisture condition, which is critical for enantiomeric pure linezolid hydroxide. The obtained substantially enantiomerically pure linezolid hydroxide compound of formula-II can be subsequently converted into the linezolid compound of formula-I, having S-isomer content more than 99.9% relative to R-isomer. Further the invention provides an improved process for preparation of enantiomeric pure linezolid Form-I, wherein linezolid Form-I having the purity more than 99.9% relative to any other known polymorphic form of linezolid. The obtained enantiomeric pure linezolid Form-I can be subsequently converted into the other known polymorphic forms linezolid. The invention also provides stable and substantially solvent-free crystal of Form-I of linezolid.

  • Patent number: 8938490
Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method communicatively interfaces a Process Automation (PA) application executing on a mainframe computer with a mainframe automation function executing on the mainframe computer. The PA application executes within a services layer, which runs on top of a base Operating System (OS) layer of the mainframe computer. Some automation functions execute within the base OS layer, while other automation functions within the services layer. Therefore, an interface executing within the services layer determines which of the two disparate execution environments is needed to execute a given mainframe automation function, and invokes the function within the appropriate environment.

  • Patent number: 8938700
Abstract: Data-driven processing of a circuit design includes converting each pattern of one or more input patterns from a first format into a second format. Each pattern identifies one or more inputs and one or more outputs and specifies each function that generates each of the one or more outputs from the one or more inputs. Each pattern of the second format is stored in a database. An input circuit design is searched for circuit design elements that match patterns in the database. Data indicative of each pattern in the database that matches a circuit design element is output.

  • Patent number: 8937953
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a first packet sent by a first node. The packet includes a first Layer 3 source address, a first Layer 3 destination address, a first Layer 2 source hardware identifier, a first Layer 2 destination hardware identifier, and a first path identifier. The first path identifier is situated between a Layer 2 header of the first packet and a Layer 3 header of the first packet. The method includes automatically determining a first port of the first network element associated with a second node. The second node is associated with the first Layer 2 destination hardware identifier. A second path identifier is automatically determined based on the first port. The first packet is prevented from being delivered to the second node in response to determining that the first path identifier and the second path identifier are different.
