  • Publication number: 20140047516
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for performing cache sharing of enterprise data among peer mobile devices. An enterprise server receives a request from a mobile device for enterprise data. Upon identifying peer mobile device(s) that store the requested enterprise data, the enterprise server selects one of these peer mobile devices to provide the requested enterprise data based on an algorithm. A message is sent to the selected peer mobile device from the enterprise server to provide the requested enterprise data to the requesting mobile device, where the message includes connection details as well as a key that uniquely identifies the requested enterprise data that is stored in a cache of the peer mobile device. In this manner, the enterprise data may be shared in a robust and transparent manner while at the same time providing the enterprise control over the dissemination of the enterprise data.

  • Patent number: 8646413
Abstract: The present invention provides a non-skid double-layer pet bowl for feeding animals and also provides a method of fabricating the said bowl. The bowl has an anti-skid bottom, so that the bowl does not move when the animal is eating or drinking from it. Another feature of the bowl is that materials, plastic and metal can be detached from each other. The plastic bowl is on the outside and is printed with various prints to make it attractive. Only this outer plastic bowl can be changed by removing it, in case of any damage or to obtain a different pattern. When detached, both the bowls can be used separately also, as double diner, that is one for feeding and the other one for drinking water for animal. The present invention also provides a method of fabricating the non-skid pet bowl. The bowls of the present invention are easy to fabricate, attractive in appearance and cost-effective.

  • Patent number: 8646471
Abstract: A method of controlling a main fluid in a conduit using a microvalve is described. The microvalve includes a corresponding actuation aperture in an actuation aperture layer. A control fluid flows through the actuation aperture in response to an electric field applied via a charge distribution near an actuation aperture layer. In one embodiment, the electric field may adjust the opening and closing of the actuation aperture thereby controlling the flow of the control fluid. In a second embodiment, the control fluid is an electrorheological fluid where the electric field controls the viscosity of the ER fluid, thereby controlling fluid flow through the actuation aperture. In both embodiments the flow of the control fluid controls stretching of a flexible membrane into and out of the conduit, thereby controlling the flow of the main fluid by opening or closing the conduit.

  • Publication number: 20140036602
Abstract: A memory device that accurately tracks memory operations includes a vertical loopback for tracking a sense clock signal to a row address decoder, and read and write reference bit lines in a reference column that include loopbacks for vertically tracking a selected bit line during read and write operations. Preferably the widths of word lines and a sense line are equal to enable the sense line to horizontally track any selected word line. The memory device also includes tri-state input/output (I/O) latches to latch sense amplifier outputs. A drive circuit of the tri-state I/O latch is disabled when the output is available at the corresponding sense amplifier and enabled when the output is latched by the latch circuit.

  • Publication number: 20140041037
Abstract: A method includes receiving a plurality of trusted assets, generating a first signature set for a known software application, and generating a second signature set for a subject software application. Each trusted asset is associated with at least a threshold number of trusted authors. Each signature in the first signature set corresponds to a known asset that is associated with the known software application. Each signature in the second signature set corresponds to a subject asset that is associated with the subject software application. The method further includes generating first and second filtered signature set based on the first and second signature sets, respectively, by excluding signatures corresponding to the trusted assets. The method also includes generating a similarity rating for the subject application based on a comparison of the first filtered signature set and the second filtered signature set.

  • Patent number: 8642160
Abstract: A cementitious board system which is reinforced on its opposed surfaces by an improved glass fiber mesh scrim with thicker yarn and larger mesh openings to provide a cementitious board with improved handling properties while retaining tensile strength and long term durability. The fabric is constructed as a mesh of high modulus strands of bundled glass fibers encapsulated by alkali and water resistant material, e.g. a thermoplastic material. The composite fabric also has suitable physical characteristics for embedment within the cement matrix of the panels or boards closely adjacent the opposed faces thereof. The fabric provides a board system with long-lasting, high strength tensile reinforcement and improved handling properties regardless of their spatial orientation during handling. Included as part of the invention are methods for making the reinforced board.

  • Patent number: 8645287
Abstract: A method described herein includes receiving a digital image, wherein the digital image includes a first element that corresponds to a first domain and a second element that corresponds to a second domain. The method also includes automatically assigning a label to the first element in the digital image based at least in part upon a computed probability that the label corresponds to the first element, wherein the probability is computed through utilization of a first model that is configured to infer labels for elements in the first domain and a second model that is configured to infer labels for elements in the second domain. The first model receives data that identifies learned relationships between elements in the first domain and elements in the second domain, and the probability is computed by the first model based at least in part upon the learned relationships.

  • Publication number: 20140033182
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for optimizing handling of breakpoints in a Java debugger agent. Embodiments provide a novel command that allows execution of the application in the debugger to stop or break at the beginning of a next called function or method (e.g., a “break on next called function” or “BNCF” command). When the BNCF command is given to the debugger, a flag may be set in the interpreter of the virtual machine to which the debugger is attached. On encountering a new method or function call, the flag is examined by the interpreter to determine whether it should stop or break in that call. If the flag is set, the interpreter will stop; otherwise the interpreter proceeds.

  • Publication number: 20140032278
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for employee performance evaluation and monitoring. The method and system eliminates the need to follow the legacy performance review process. The method and system makes it easy for the employee to get timely/continuous inputs for self improvement. Further, the method and system also eliminates the need of complex and lengthy performance evaluation process at the time of appraisals as the calculated worth or value of employee is available at any given point of time for bonus and rewards/recognition. This also eases up the process of comparing performance of team members as the aggregate calculated value or worth can be uniformly used for comparison which is not possible in case of only textual performance notes.
