  • Patent number: 8404780
Abstract: The adhesion between a low surface energy (i.e., nonpolar) material, e.g., a polyolefin such as polyethylene, and a high surface energy (i.e., polar) material, e.g., a polyester, polyurethane, polycarbonate or polylactic acid, is promoted by blending with the nonpolar material typically from 15 to less than 50 wt % of a diol-based thermoplastic polyurethane (d-TPU), e.g., a polydiene diol-based TPU, based on the combined weight of the nonpolar material and the d-TPU. The promoted adhesion allows for the effective painting, printing, over-molding or HF-welding of a nonpolar substrate, e.g., a polyolefin film, with a polar coating, e.g., a paint, ink, etc. Aqueous dispersions can also be made from the blend of nonpolar material and d-TPU.

  • Publication number: 20130069188
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a camera assembly including a rear-facing camera and a front-facing camera operatively coupled together (e.g., bonded, stacked on a common substrate). In some embodiments of the invention, a system having an array of frontside illuminated (FSI) imaging pixels is bonded to a system having an array of backside illuminated (BSI) imaging pixels, creating a camera assembly with a minimal size (e.g., a reduced thickness compared to prior art solutions). An FSI image sensor wafer may be used as a handle wafer for a BSI image sensor wafer when it is thinned, thereby decreasing the thickness of the overall camera module. According to other embodiments of the invention, two package dies, one a BSI image sensor, the other an FSI image sensor, are stacked on a common substrate such as a printed circuit board, and are operatively coupled together via redistribution layers.

  • Publication number: 20130067451
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to efficiently provisioning applications in a multi-user environment. In one scenario, an administrator computer system pre-installs at least a portion of a software application on a data image, where the software application is to be installed on a client computer system upon receiving a notification from a computer administrator. The administrator computer system receives an input from the computer administrator indicating that a specified software application pre-installed on the client computer system's data image is to be installed on the client computer system. The administrator computer system then publishes a notification to the client computer system indicating that a specified software application pre-installed on the client computer system's data image is to be installed. Upon receiving the notification, the software application is installed on the client computer system from the data image.

  • Publication number: 20130067072
Abstract: Techniques to provide an improved representation of remote network access for a network administrator managing and controlling access to resources on an enterprise network. The representation indicates resources accessed by a remote computer or by a user of that computer and provides associated information useful for managing remote network access. To create the representation, multiple security associations formed between a remote client computer and resources on the enterprise network are associated with entity sessions, based on identical session identifiers generated for each security association within an entity session. The entity sessions may be aggregated into a to DirectAccess “connection” between the remote client computer and the enterprise network, based on an identity of the remote client computer. Resources accessed over the connection may be identified using a session identifier of each entity session so that security associations in that entity session may be matched with the resources.
