    Abstract: A diaphragm unit is arranged to be used in a loudspeaker including a frame. The diaphragm includes a diaphragm and an edge joined to an outer periphery of the diaphragm. The diaphragm extends in a longitudinal direction and has a first center line extends along the longitudinal direction. The edge has an outer periphery being arranged to join to the frame, and an inner periphery joined to the outer periphery of the diaphragm. The edge has a convex surface having substantially a semi-circular cross section. The convex surface of the edge has grooves provided therein. The grooves extend from the inner periphery of the edge to the outer periphery of the edge. The grooves have cross sections each having a U-shape or a V-shape, and are arranged symmetrically about the first center line of the diaphragm. This diaphragm unit provides an elongated loudspeaker reproducing bass sounds with small distortions.

    Abstract: A waste heat utilization device includes a refrigeration cycle having a compressor, a Rankine cycle using a condenser in common with the refrigeration cycle, and a control unit which controls operation of the refrigeration cycle and the Rankine cycle. The control unit performs a continuation control of the Rankine cycle, in which the Rankine cycle is continuously operated regardless of an operation state of the compressor, when a load of the refrigeration cycle is lower than a predetermined load. In contrast, the control unit performs an intermittent control of the Rankine cycle, in which the Rankine cycle is intermittently operated in accordance with the operation state of the compressor such that the mechanical energy recovered by the expansion unit is larger than a driving energy of the compressor.

A polygonal enlarged recess greater than the inner diameter of the through hole is formed at one end of the through hole. Meanwhile, an annular protrusion protruding radially outward is formed near an end of a pipe having an outer diameter capable of insertion into the through hole. This annular protrusion has an outer diameter greater than the incircle diameter of the polygonal enlarged recess. The annular protrusion is press-fitted and fixed to the polygonal enlarged recess.

    Abstract: A waste heat recovery system of an engine has a cooling water circuit and a Rankine cycle. Cooling water is circulated between the engine and a radiator in the cooling water circuit. The Rankine cycle has a heater and an expansion device. The heater performs heat exchange between the cooling water heated by the engine and an operation fluid so as to heat the operation fluid in the Rankine cycle. The expansion device expands the heated operation fluid, so as to generate driving power. The heater is arranged in a bypass circuit so as to be in parallel with the radiator with respect to the cooling water flow. Thus, waste heat of the cooling water heated by the engine can be effectively recovered without reducing a cooling capacity of the radiator.

The controller calculates an optimum flow amount (G) of refrigerant corresponding to the optimum heat collection amount (Qho), so that a maximum driving power (L) is generated at the expansion device.
