  • Publication number: 20080258334
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to a device for the production of at least one container filled with a medium, said container being made of a plastic material. The plastic material is extruded in a tubular manner and is applied to the inner walls of a moulding tool in order to mould the respective container by means of differential pressure. The respective container is filled with a medium via the inlet opening with the aid of a filling device and the inlet opening of the container is closed by a lock. A coextrusion method is used for the extrusion of different plastic materials, whereby the respective container is made at least partially of several layers of plastic materials. At least one of the layers is used at a barrier layer.

  • Patent number: 7425207
Abstract: A vial for dispensing a liquid into a syringe is described which comprises a body section for holding the liquid, the body section having a top and a bottom; a port having a removable seal, where the port is adapted for a syringe connection and where the port is interconnected with the body section at a point near the top of the body section by a passageway which for at least a portion of its length extends above the level of the liquid in the body section when the vial is inverted, thereby preventing leakage of the liquid from the body section when the seal of the port is removed. A method of making the vial is also described.

  • Patent number: 7396225
Abstract: A production device for performing a blow molding, charging, and sealing process for plastic containers has a first type of molding device (10) into which a tube of plasticized plastic material may be introduced. The molding device (10) of the first type may be rotated to individual spatially separate stations (22, 24, 26) about an axis (20). One station (24) performs the function of blow molding of the container. Another station (26) charges and seals the blow molded container. Simultaneously a tube of plasticized plastic material can be blow molded for production of the plastic container and a corresponding container produced in this manner at the other station can be charged with the medium, in particular one in the form of a fluid, and to seal it. The cycle times may be reduced in comparison to cycle times of production devices of the state of the art so that the rates of output of charged containers sealed under sterile conditions to be produced may be significantly increased.

  • Patent number: 7357893
Abstract: In a method for the production and filling of containers (12), at least one tube (3) of plasticized plastic material is extruded into an open mold (6). The tube (3) is bonded at its advancing end on closing the mold (6) to form the container base. The tube (3) is severed above the mold, by a separating element (21) to form a filling opening. The mold (6) having the tube (3) with a filling opening is moved to a filling position in which the container is filled after the tube (3) formed in the mold by generating an expanding pressure gradient acting on the tube (3). During the movement of the mold (6) into the filling position, the filling opening of the tube (3) is covered by a sterile barrier (23).

  • Patent number: 7338277
Abstract: A stamping device stamps characteristic data, especially in the form of code numbers (22), into plastic products. Such containers are preferably produced according to blowing, filling and gelling methods. At least one stamp (32), having a stamping unit (34) with interchangeable characteristic data units (42), is guided in the longitudinal direction in the frame (24) of the device. When the stamp is in an elevated position, the products to be stamped and/or have been stamped can be fed or removed. When in a lowered position, the products are stamped.

  • Publication number: 20080041019
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing and filling containers. According to the invention, at least one tube (12) made of a softened plastic material is extruded into an open mold (16), the leading end of said tube (12) is welded when the mold (16) is closed in order to form the bottom of the container, the tube (12) is cut in two above the mold by means of a cutting element (28) so as to form a feed hole (18), and the mold (16), along with the tube (12) comprising the open feed hole (18), is moved into a filling position in which the container is filled and then sealed after being configured in the mold (16) by generating a pressure gradient that acts upon the tube (12) and expands the same. The feed hole (18) of the tube (12) is covered by a sterile barrier (30) at least from the moment said feed hole (18) is formed to the time the associated container is filled in a sterile space.

  • Patent number: 7309463
Abstract: A moulding method, in particular a blowing or vacuum moulding method produces a dispensing container filled with a medium for dispensing. A moulding method for production of a dispensing container (1), filled with a medium for dispensing, involves introduction of an extruded plastic tube (6) into an open mould with moving main mould sections (8) and mould sections (10), cutting the plastic tube (6), spreading the plastic tube (6) into contact with the mould walls of the main mould sections (8), filling the container (1) in the mould with the medium for dispensing, introduction of a sealing unit (3), closure of the secondary mould sections (10) and subsequent moulding of the section of plastic tube (6) running through the secondary mould sections (10) to form a protective sleeve (5) which encloses a cannula (11) in the sealing unit (3) as second component of the securing device (5, 17).

  • Patent number: 7293979
Abstract: A molding device moves at least one molding tool (10), especially for generating head geometries in plastic containers, by a link motion (22). The link motion brings the respective molding tool (10) into the closed position at least for closing the tool. This motion (22) is actuated by a drive (24), allowing for a novel drive and kinematic concept for the respective molding tool to completely avoid hydraulic drive means. The drive is preferably an electric drive, especially a step motor.
