  • Patent number: 6492968
Abstract: A method for detecting defects when mixed colors among color channels on a liquid crystal monitor is disclosed. The disclosed method utilizes the interference of four channels of red, green, blue and white colors to check whether a detected liquid crystal monitor can normally show the mixed colors. A rectangular channel drawing is shown on a liquid crystal monitor; wherein the most upper left point, the most upper right point, the most lower left point, and the most lower right point are respectively allocated by red, green, blue, and white pixels. Each color channel then extends separately along the diagonal direction and accompanied with color intensity gradually decreasing to obtain an interference diagram that contains several arc stripes on the rectangular drawing. Accordingly, those defective pixels will be clearly indicated in the rectangular channel drawing because they are usually flashing visually.

  • Publication number: 20020101424
Abstract: A method of testing a graphic accelerator in DOS mode comprises the steps of: setting the calculator system in DOS 32 bit full address mode, but not in the protect mode; mapping the RAM of the graphic accelerator to a predetermined location somewhere in the 0-4G space of the system RAM; preparing a test software such as BitBlt, H/W cursor, 3D Texture; preparing an original pattern, generally a ready bitmap; copying the pattern from the system RAM to the video RAM of the graphic accelerator, verifying the result, and if errors occur, dealing with the errors; copying the pattern from the video RAM to the video RAM, verifying the result, and if errors occur, dealing with the errors; performing a test of color image to monochrome image conversion, verifying the result, and if errors occur, dealing with the errors; and restoring the normal 16 bit address mode VGA mode.

  • Patent number: 6280907
Abstract: A process is disclosed for forming resistors on a printed circuit substrate. The method includes the step of applying a photoresist layer onto substrate, and forming openings in the photoresist layer to expose the preselected regions for resistors, such that polymer thick resist pastes as well as resistive metallic films can be applied onto the substrate through these openings with precise geometry. The process according to the invention has higher accuracy and greater processing flexibility than the prior art processes where the resistor pastes are directly applied onto the substrate by screen printing.

  • Patent number: 6133948
Abstract: An automated identification system comprises a first classification station which uses two laser sources and video imaging techniques to identify and distinguish between similar items such as, for example wooden cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Each laser produces a fan-shaped plane of light, perpendicular to the other, on front face of the door. The fan shaped planes of light produce a first profile stripe in the horizontal direction across the width of the door face and a second profile stripe in the vertical or length direction. A first video camera captures the image of the profile stripe across the width of the door. A second camera is used to capture the profile stripe in the vertical direction to determine whether the panel shape is square or cathedral shaped. A feature-based approach is used to process the captured profile stripes and compare them to a library of known profiles. A third camera, placed substantially parallel to the first camera captures the width measurement of the door.

  • Patent number: 6072001
Abstract: The present invention uses high molecular weight polyethene glycol copolymer with high antistatic property, and other solubilizer agent to proceed blending and enhancing the co-solublization property of the polyamide. The long-term antistatic plastic particles obtained by blending the modified antistatic composition and the polyamide material are made into different articles according to various composites. The molded articles are divided into three types: (1) an antistatic polyamide article with surface resistance of about 10.sup.10 -10.sup.11 (.OMEGA./sq.), and the dissipation time of electrostatic charge is less than 1.5 sec; (2) an antistatic polyamide fiber with surface resistance of about 6.times.l0.sup.10 -1.2.times.10.sup.12 (.OMEGA./sq.), and the dissipation time of electrostatic charge is less than 60 sec; (3) a polishing resistant antistatic polyamide with surface resistance of about 10.sup.10 -10.sup.11 (.OMEGA./sq.), and the dissipation time of electrostatic charge is less than 1.5 sec.
