  • Publication number: 20180202588
Abstract: A combination ferrule includes a ferrule portion and a holding ring portion. The ferrule portion includes a flange portion at an end of the ferrule portion. The holding ring portion includes one or more elastic projections extending coaxially from an inner wail of the flange portion. The one or more elastic projections are disposed at an angle to allow a tube enter through the holding ring and pass through the combination ferrule only in a first direction toward the ferrule portion and prevent the tube from moving in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The one or more elastic protections engage with a notch in a cavity of a compression nut such that the flange portion abuts the notch and the combination ferrule is fastened in the cavity of the compression nut.

  • Publication number: 20160317133
Abstract: A biopsy device for obtaining tissue samples from human or animal tissue is optimized for the sampling of tissues that are resilient and difficult to cut using conventional approaches. The biopsy device includes a cutting cannula, an inner member including a toothed rack having a sharpened distal tip configured to be introduced into the body and a sample notch for receiving the at least one severed tissue sample, the inner member receivable in the cutting cannula, and a cutting mechanism configured for causing the cutting cannula to be longitudinally displaced in a distal direction from a first position at the proximal end of the sample notch exposing the sample notch, to a second position at the distal end of the sample notch, so as to sever said tissue sample from remaining body tissue at the harvesting site. The toothed rack may be a rotatable and may be rigid.

  • Patent number: 9121679
Abstract: A limited range projectile includes pyrotechnic material and reactive material. The pyrotechnic material is ignited at projectile launch. The pyrotechnic material ignites the reactive material. If the projectile reaches a maximum desired range prior to impact with a target, the ignited reactive material transforms the projectile into an aerodynamically unstable object.

  • Patent number: 8984289
Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for classifying messages are disclosed. A plurality of fraud indicators are identified in the message. A signature of the message is generated. The generated signature of the message is compared to a stored signature. The stored signature is based on a statistical analysis of fraud indicators in a second message associated with the stored signature. A determination as to whether the message is fraudulent is made based on the comparison. The message is processed based on the determination that the message is a fraudulent message.
