Publication number: 20250117374Abstract: User information is protected by providing a protective layer between a provider and a user device. A server receives a suggestion to present to the user device from a third party, such as a provider of goods or services that wants to push the suggestion to the user device. The suggestion includes a request for user information. The server then determines a likelihood that the request for user information is a necessary component of the suggestion. When the likelihood is low, the request is removed from the suggestion. When the likelihood is high, the server creates an executable computer code that includes the request. The executable computer code can be transmitted to the user device to present the suggestion to the user device without disclosing the user's information to the server.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2024Publication date: April 10, 2025Inventors: Brian Samuel Taylor, Matthew Maxwell Murphy, James Michael Faris

Patent number: 12259717Abstract: In an industrial control system (ICS), latent vectors are generated to represent identity or behaviors of host devices coupled to the ICS. A computing system captures communications transmitted by a host device across a network associated with the ICS. A set of values are extracted from one or more respective fields in the communication, then applied to a trained neural network. Values of a first set of fields are applied at an input layer of the trained neural network, while values of a second set of fields are applied at an output layer of the neural network. Based on the application of the neural network to the values extracted from the communication, the computing system generates a latent vector.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2022Date of Patent: March 25, 2025Assignee: LAWRENCE LIVERMORE NATIONAL SECURITY, LLCInventors: Brian Michael Kelley, Indrasis Chakraborty, Brian James Gallagher, Daniel Matthew Merl

Publication number: 20250095467Abstract: A multilevel fire detector system includes a vessel with low-cost thermoelectric sensors such as thermopiles, facing multiple directions, that amplify infrared (IR) wavelengths particular to wildfire. A controller processes and compares IR data patterns in various ways and determines if potential fire risk or heat surges exceeds a threshold, which is a function of on-board and external data, then produces a warning signal transmitted by a communication system. The system may be deployed on its own, or configured with infrastructure, including transmission lines implicated in wildfires.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2024Publication date: March 20, 2025Inventor: Brian Michael Coyle
