  • Publication number: 20240082129
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hair coloring base compositions and ready-to-use hair coloring compositions comprising 2-methoxymethyl-P-phenylenediamine, an oxidative dye precursor. The hair coloring base composition is mixed with a developer composition to form a ready-to-use hair coloring composition having a lower than typical pH, 7. These compositions are effective for coloring hair, especially beard hair. The color imparted to the hair is long-lasting (tenacious) and skin sensitivity due to the coloring process is minimized or prevented. Methods for making the composition and methods for coloring hair, especially beard hair, are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11919605
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a disk braking system for a bicycle having a rear disk coupled to a rear wheel. A rear brake caliper is coupled to a rear brake lever and the rear brake caliper is also coupled to a hydraulic actuator which has a piston that slides within a cylinder filled with hydraulic fluid and hydraulic tubing coupled to the cylinder and a front brake. When the rear wheel and rear disk are rotating, the rear brake caliper can be actuated which causes compresses rear brake caliper against the rear disk to slow the rotation of the rear wheel. The movement of the rear brake caliper can actuate the hydraulic actuator which causes hydraulic fluid to flow through the hydraulic tubing to actuate a front brake.

  • Patent number: 11920628
Abstract: An equipment mounting system for mounting equipment to a support structure is described. An equipment mounting system including: (i) a mounting plate having defined therein a plate aperture of a particular shape; (ii) a bolt having a shaft portion including a threaded portion and a non-threaded portion that is of a complementary shape that complements the particular shape of the plate aperture; and (iii) a washer having defined therein a scored aperture that includes multiple radially extending scorings. In an assembled configuration of the mounting plate, the bolt and the washer, the plate aperture of the particular shape aligns with the scoring aperture such that both of the plate aperture and the scoring aperture receive the non-threaded portion of the complementary shape, and the particular shape of the mounting plate engages with the complementary shape of the bolt to prevent rotational displacement of the bolt around the mounting plate.

  • Patent number: 11913048
Abstract: Methods for the production of L-glufosinate (also known as phosphinothricin or (S)-2-amino-4-(hydroxy(methyl)phosphonoyl)butanoic acid) are provided. The methods comprise a two-step process. The first step involves the oxidative deamination of D-glufosinate to PPO (2-oxo-4-(hydroxy(methyl)phosphinoyl)butyric acid). The second step involves the specific amination of PPO to L-glufosinate, using an amine group from one or more amine donors. By combining these two reactions, the proportion of L-glufosinate in a mixture of L-glufosinate and D-glufosinate can be substantially increased.

  • Publication number: 20240058113
Abstract: Systems and methods for the intravascular treatment of clot material within a blood vessel of a human patient are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, positioning a distal portion of a catheter proximate to the clot material within the blood vessel. The method can further include coupling a pressure source to the catheter via a tubing subsystem including a valve or other fluid control device and, while the valve is closed, activating the pressure source to charge a vacuum. The valve can then be opened to apply the vacuum to the catheter to thereby aspirate at least a portion of the clot material from the blood vessel and into the catheter.

  • Publication number: 20240051573
Abstract: Systems and techniques for determining deceleration controls to use in a trajectory for use in stopping a vehicle are described. A deceleration determination system may receive a trajectory from a trajectory determination system and determine, based on various deceleration parameters, the appropriate controls to configure in a longitudinal profile of the trajectory and the suitable implementation points for implementing the controls. The deceleration determination system may determine deceleration data for various types of trajectories that a vehicle computing system may select from for operating the vehicle based on current conditions.

  • Publication number: 20240043160
Abstract: A system moves items, like containers and/or pallets, through a label printing station. The station has a label printer that prints adhesive labels; and a robot arm terminating at a movable end with a suction pad or vacuum device and sensors. The station has sensors configured to measure a height of the item; and a processor coupled to receive the height of the item, to control the robot arm and label printer, and to receive label information from a server. The processor has a memory containing code that computes desired label positions based on height of the container/pallet. A method of labeling an item includes printing an adhesive label with the label information obtained from a server; receiving the adhesive label on a suction pad or vacuum device attached to a movable end of a robot arm, and determining a first labeling position from measured height of the container/pallet.

  • Publication number: 20240034308
Abstract: Systems and techniques for determining a trajectory for use in controlling a vehicle are described. A trajectory determination system may generate a variety of trajectories for potential use in controlling a vehicle, including a maximum braking trajectory that enables the maximum application of the vehicle's brakes. A vehicle computing system may determine a distance between vehicle and an obstacle and stopping distances for the various trajectories and implement the maximum braking trajectory after determining that the distance to stop for that trajectory is the same as, but not substantially greater than, the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle.
