  • Publication number: 20240043160
Abstract: A system moves items, like containers and/or pallets, through a label printing station. The station has a label printer that prints adhesive labels; and a robot arm terminating at a movable end with a suction pad or vacuum device and sensors. The station has sensors configured to measure a height of the item; and a processor coupled to receive the height of the item, to control the robot arm and label printer, and to receive label information from a server. The processor has a memory containing code that computes desired label positions based on height of the container/pallet. A method of labeling an item includes printing an adhesive label with the label information obtained from a server; receiving the adhesive label on a suction pad or vacuum device attached to a movable end of a robot arm, and determining a first labeling position from measured height of the container/pallet.

  • Patent number: 11890180
Abstract: Systems and methods for the intravascular treatment of clot material within a blood vessel of a human patient are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, positioning a distal portion of a catheter proximate to the clot material within the blood vessel. The method can further include coupling a pressure source to the catheter via a tubing subsystem including a valve or other fluid control device and, while the valve is closed, activating the pressure source to charge a vacuum. The valve can then be opened to apply the vacuum to the catheter to thereby aspirate at least a portion of the clot material from the blood vessel and into the catheter.

  • Publication number: 20240034308
Abstract: Systems and techniques for determining a trajectory for use in controlling a vehicle are described. A trajectory determination system may generate a variety of trajectories for potential use in controlling a vehicle, including a maximum braking trajectory that enables the maximum application of the vehicle's brakes. A vehicle computing system may determine a distance between vehicle and an obstacle and stopping distances for the various trajectories and implement the maximum braking trajectory after determining that the distance to stop for that trajectory is the same as, but not substantially greater than, the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle.

  • Patent number: 11883007
Abstract: Controlled motion capsules and associated systems and methods are described. Controlled motion capsules can decelerate, and stop, without damaging epithelial walls. If any components fail, a controlled motion capsule, without added energy, becomes its most compact shape, passing harmlessly through the GI tract. Controlled motion capsule may include a shape changing material, comprising a reversible soft copolymer, in a container in the capsule, with a nonionizing radiation emitter, and a controller to activate the nonionizing radiation to expand and contract the shape changing material, on detection of certain conditions or instructions. Expansion of the shape changing material, including contact with epithelial walls, decelerates and can stop the controlled motion capsule movement. Motion control allows scientists to study the microbiome, doctors to deliver intestinal drugs at precise locations, and to closely examine signs of precancerous growth.

  • Patent number: 11870127
Abstract: A wireless control device, such as a system controller for a load control system, may comprise a light-transmissive cover for an antenna that may be illuminated to provide feedback to a user of the load control system. The light-transmissive cover may receive light energy from a light-generating circuit to provide a visible display of the light energy. The wireless control device may be mounted to, for example, a ceiling, and the light-transmissive cover may extend from the wireless control device (e.g., down from the ceiling). The light-transmissive cover may be viewed by a user at large viewing angles and at a distance away from the wireless control device, which may simplify and improve reliability of commissioning of the load control system as well as speed up troubleshooting of the load control system after commissioning is completed.

  • Patent number: 11861115
Abstract: Acoustic touch and/or force sensing system architectures and methods for acoustic touch and/or force sensing can be used to detect a position of an object touching a surface and an amount of force applied to the surface by the object. The position and/or an applied force can be determined using time-of-flight (TOF) techniques, for example. Acoustic touch sensing can utilize transducers (e.g., piezoelectric) to simultaneously transmit ultrasonic waves along a surface and through a thickness of a deformable material. The location of the object and the applied force can be determined based on the amount of time elapsing between the transmission of the waves and receipt of the reflected waves. In some examples, an acoustic touch sensing system can be insensitive to water contact on the device surface, and thus acoustic touch sensing can be used for touch sensing in devices that may become wet or fully submerged in water.

  • Publication number: 20230405327
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for a stimulation system. Various aspects of the present disclosure relate generally to the treatment of epilepsy, depression and/or other conditions in a subject using a nerve stimulator and, more particularly, to an effective and quicker titration method for selection of stimulation parameters of the nerve stimulator using biological markers that indicate potential therapeutic effects. Some aspects of the present disclosure may utilize a pupillometry sensor synchronized with the VNS stimulation system to compare pupil size of a subject with stimulation on and off and for obtaining filtered pupil response measurements after stimulating each electrode while modulating the stimulation parameters. Thus, aspects of the present disclosure allow for quicker titration of programmable stimulation parameters (e.g.
