  • Publication number: 20180088982
Abstract: Examples of techniques for invoking a restricted access service through a RESTful interface are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a computer-implemented method may include: measuring, by the processing device, an idle time that represents an amount of time that an application is idle; measuring, by the processing device, an execution time that represents an amount of time that the application takes to execute a RESTful application program interface request; calculating, by the processing device, an average time for the application, wherein the average time is based on the idle time and the execution time over a selectable interval; and responsive to determining that the average time does not exceed a first threshold, initiating, by the processing device, a new instance of the application.

  • Patent number: 9907113
Abstract: Provided is a system for wireless communications including several base stations supporting a wide area wireless network and several mobile user equipment (UE) devices. Each mobile UE device may be configured to transmit a request to establish a local wireless connection with one or more of the UE devices. The mobile UE device may receive a response containing connectivity information from each of the mobile UE devices and then select one of the mobile UE devices based on the connectivity information received from each of the mobile UE devices. The mobile UE device may then establish a local wireless connection with the selected mobile UE device. The mobile UE device may then communicate with one of the base stations in the wide area wireless network through the selected mobile UE device, utilizing the local wireless connection.

  • Publication number: 20180002617
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for hydroconversion of a heavy oil feed under slurry hydroprocessing conditions and/or solvent assisted hydroprocessing conditions. The systems and methods for slurry hydroconversion can include the use of a configuration that can allow for improved separation of catalyst particles from the slurry hydroprocessing effluent. In addition to allowing for improved catalyst recycle, an amount of fines in the slurry hydroconversion effluent can be reduced or minimized. This can facilitate further processing or handling of any “pitch” generated during the slurry hydroconversion. The systems and methods for solvent assisted hydroprocessing can include processing of a heavy oil feed in conjunction with a high solvency dispersive power crude.

  • Patent number: 9690402
Abstract: A touch panel system includes micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) groups. Each group includes an emitter producing a beam, and a MEMS mirror located about a corner of a touch panel screen. The MEMS mirror reflects the beam to create a beam sweep across a touch panel surface. An array of photo sensors is located parallel to an edge of the touch panel screen to detect reflected beams from an object about the touch panel surface. Based on when the reflected beams are detected, the angular positions of the MEMS mirrors can be determined and correlated to the object's position.
