  • Publication number: 20150251019
Abstract: A patient alignment system for a radiation therapy system. The alignment system includes multiple external measurement devices which obtain position measurements of components of the radiation therapy system which are movable and/or are subject to flex or other positional variations. The alignment system employs the external measurements to provide corrective positioning feedback to more precisely register the patient and align them with a radiation beam. The alignment system can be provided as an integral part of a radiation therapy system or can be added as an upgrade to existing radiation therapy systems.

  • Patent number: 9045972
Abstract: Components, such as a cutting element for an earth-boring drilling tool, include an ultrasonic transducer coupled therewith and configured to transmit an acoustic signal therethrough, and transmit a data signal to a data acquisition unit in response to receiving a returning echo of the acoustic signal. An earth-boring drilling tool comprises a bit body including a plurality of components, an ultrasonic transducer, and a data acquisition unit operably coupled with the ultrasonic transducer. The data acquisition unit may be configured to receive the data signal and determine a temperature distribution of the component based, at least in part, on a time-of-flight of the acoustic signal and the returning echoes. • Patent number: 8979780
Abstract: An adjustable immobilizing joint brace has a pair of opposed, spaced apart first supports for supporting and immobilizing a joint. Each first support has a pair of first joint holes proximate a first end. One of the holes of the pair of first joint holes is spaced further from the first end of the first support than the other hole. A pair of opposed, spaced apart second supports has two opposed sides. Each second support has a pair of second joint holes proximate a joint end. The pair of second joint holes can be aligned with and attached to the pair of first joint holes on either side of the first support to form different angles of attachment between the first supports and the second supports depending on the orientation of the first supports relative to the orientation of the second supports.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a multimetallic catalyst and its use in a reactor system in a C9+ aromatics conversion process in order to reduce the saturation of aromatic species, reduce the production of C6+ non-aromatics byproducts, and achieve higher benzene purity. The multimetallic catalyst exhibits improved selectivity towards aromatic hydrocarbons in comparison to a traditional Pt/ZSM-5 catalyst and comprises ZSM-5, a Group 6-10 metal, and an additional metal not in Group 6-10. The C9+ aromatics conversion reactor system comprises a top bed containing the multimetallic catalyst for dealkylation of ethyl and propyl side chains, a second bed containing a catalyst comprising a hydrogenation component for transalkylation, and an optional third bed containing a catalyst without a hydrogenation component to convert non-aromatic hydrocarbons to gas products.

  • Publication number: 20140330058
Abstract: A process is described for producing a catalyst composition comprising an iridium component dispersed on a support. In the process, silica-containing support is treated with an iridium compound and an organic compound comprising an amino group to form an organic iridium complex on the support. The treated support is then heated in an oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature of about 325° C. to about 475° C. to partially decompose the organic metal complex on the support. The treated support is then heated in a reducing atmosphere at a temperature of about 350° C. to about 500° C. to convert the partially decomposed organic iridium complex into the desired iridium component.
