  • Publication number: 20180338759
Abstract: A closure device for closing an opening in tissue is provided. The closure device includes an elongate member through which needles may be deployed. The closure device also includes a foot portion having one or more feet slidably mounted relative thereto. The feet are movable between a deployed position and a delivery position. The feet include cuffs removably mounted therein, with sutures connected between the cuffs. When the feet are in the deployed position and the needles are advanced, the needles securely engage the cuffs and draw the cuffs and suture through the lumen wall so that the opening in the lumen wall can be closed with the sutures.

  • Patent number: 10129960
Abstract: An antenna arrangement for a solid-state lamp is disclosed. Embodiments of the invention provide for improved performance by positioning the antenna for radio frequency (RF) control of the lamp non-parallel to the main driver board and/or the LED board. This positioning can provide distance from the main board circuitry and a ground plane for the antenna. An RF daughter card can be used for the antenna and also possibly for other RF components. In some embodiments, the antenna is substantially perpendicular to the main board. In some embodiments, the lamp is dimensioned as a replacement for a standard incandescent bulb, such as an A, BR, or PAR bulb. In some embodiments, an optically transmissive enclosure and/or a base define the interior cavity of the lamp. A plurality of LEDs can be disposed within the optically transmissive enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20170279798
Abstract: To authorize a client device to access a secure resource hosted on a web server, the present methods and systems may provide executable instructions including a challenge token to the client device, which, in turn, may cause the client device to provide executable instructions, including the challenge token, to a mobile client device via a persona area network. The executable instructions provided to the mobile client device may request the mobile client device to return a verification token. The mobile client device may compare the provided challenge token to a challenge token stored locally. If the challenge tokens match, the mobile client device may provide a verification token to the client device via the personal area network, which may in turn provide the verification token to the web server. The web server may compare the verification token provided by the client device to a verification token provided by the present methods and systems.

  • Patent number: 9704165
Abstract: Systems and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of social media pages. Users of social media systems review and publish various kinds of content on social media pages, including various messages, audio clips, video clips, polls, web links, etc. A social media page evaluation system hosted on a physical server or a cloud receives a social media page that is to be evaluated, and provides results of an evaluation process. The evaluation process involves processing of various criteria and parameters that characterize engagements and interactions between users of social media pages. Results of an evaluation process include qualitative and quantitative attributes in connection with evaluating the effectiveness of published content on social media pages. Such results are useful for purposes of enriching content in social media pages, resulting in greater network traffic due to increased engagements and interaction among users of social media pages.

  • Patent number: 9593025
Abstract: The wastewater evaporator provides for effluent evaporation in a septic system to eliminate need for a drain field. The evaporator tank contains a plurality of evaporator trays in a vertical array. Solids settle in the septic tank, and liquid effluent flows from the septic tank to the evaporator tank and cascades sequentially from the uppermost to the lowermost tray. The multiple trays increase the surface area of liquid contained therein, thereby greatly enhancing evaporation. An above-surface air pump and vent may be provided for air flow through the evaporator tank. An ultrasonic generator may be installed in each tray to increase the surface area of the effluent to enhance evaporation. An additional intermediate pump tank may be provided between the septic tank and the evaporator tank to control effluent flow and delivery to the evaporator tank. A sump pump in the pump tank periodically delivers effluent to the evaporator tank.

  • Patent number: 9562677
Abstract: A lamp comprises an interior space and a base. An enclosure may be connected to the base to enclose the interior space. At least one LED board divides the interior space into a plurality of sectors. An LED is located in each sector in the enclosure operable to emit light when energized through an electrical path from the base. Light from the LED is reflected by a wall of the sector to create a reflected light source.

  • Patent number: 9557421
Abstract: A method for detecting a lane change by a moving vehicle is disclosed. In one embodiment, it is detected that a first heading of a moving vehicle has met a parameter defining a stable heading. It is then detected that a second heading of the moving vehicle has subsequently met a parameter defining an unstable heading. It is then detected that a third heading of the moving vehicle has subsequently met a parameter defining a stable heading within a pre-determined time parameter and that the third heading equals the first heading within a pre-defined margin. An indication is then generated that the moving vehicle has performed a lane change.
