  • Publication number: 20070088454
Abstract: A system and method for troubleshooting a operation of a machine include performing an initial, operator based analysis in response to an alarm indicator output by a processing unit monitoring the machine operation. The method uses a query-based analysis to guide the operator. A secondary analysis is used if the initial analysis does not yield the cause of the alarm. The secondary analysis can include a number of steps, including analyzing raw vibration data or trend lines generated from the raw data. If the trend lines are operation specific, a particular operation or particular tool may be identified as the cause of the alarm, and appropriate action can be taken. A tertiary analysis can also be used if the initial and secondary analyses do not yield the cause of the alarm.

  • Publication number: 20070085564
Abstract: A programmable logic structure is disclosed employing input logic routing cell (ILRC) multiplexers and output logic routing cell (OLRC) multiplexers for making local connections between dedicated logic cells. In a simple programmable logic structure, a dedicated logic cell (DLC) is implemented in a programmable logic structure comprising multiple ILRC multiplexers for port A and multiple OLRC multiplexers for port B. In a multi-level programmable logic structure, multiple columns of dedicated logic cells is designed with columns of dedicated local cells adjacent to each other where each DLC column is used to implement a particular logic function. In a first embodiment, local connections can be made between dedicated logic cells, e.g. an OLRC in a first DLC at level L making local point-to-point connections to an ILRC in a second DLC at level L+1.

  • Patent number: 7206610
Abstract: Network Allocation Vector (NAV) and “beam access control” (BAC) techniques are provided to address data collision problems in WLANs wherein APs provide wireless network access in a service area defined by multiple sectors via use of a switchable antenna system or the like. Preferably, every time the AP visits a sector and before the AP moves on to the next sector, the AP can set the NAV equal to the time it will take until its next visit. Alternatively, or in addition, a BAC bit is transmitted by an AP to control access to the AP by WTRUs disposed in a service sector in which the BAC is transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20070081488
Abstract: Methods are described for using collaboration of neighboring wireless devices to enable location of disconnected wireless devices and rogue wireless access points. A central server computes the locations of the neighboring clients and uses those locations to estimate the location of a disconnected client. These techniques may take advantage of the beaconing and probing mechanisms of IEEE 802.11 to ensure that connected clients do not pay unnecessary overheads for detecting disconnected clients. Methods are also described for detecting and locating rogue devices by collaboratively collecting information from neighboring devices and comparing the information to a database.

  • Patent number: 7203164
Abstract: A control terminal such as a CMTS is initialized to receive packets of voice calls having parameters including a bit rate, a packetization interval, and a call identification. A plurality of queues is created to define a corresponding plurality of phases at a sub-multiple of the packetization interval. Voice calls are admitted to the control terminal. The voice calls are distributed among the queues in a predetermined order as the voice calls are admitted and the voice calls removed from the queues as the voice calls are terminated. USGs are periodically issued at the phases defined by the queues. The USGs include a call identification and a grant of bandwidth sufficient to transmit the packets.
