  • Publication number: 20170222113
Abstract: A PEDOT:PSS film having enhanced thermoelectric properties is doped with DMSO and a binary secondary dopant, such as PEO. The composition of such film causes the ratios of PEDOT in bipolaron states to be increased. As a result, the Seebeck coefficient, the electrical conductivities, and power factor of the film are increased, thereby increasing the efficiency of the film. Thus, a thermoelectric device that uses the film is able to achieve enhanced operating performance.

  • Patent number: 9710125
Abstract: A method for generating multiple windows frames, an electronic device thereof, and a computer program product using the method are provided. In the present method, first, a touch trajectory generated by continuously touching a touch panel of the electronic device is detected, wherein the center of the touch panel is a display area, and a non-display area surrounds the display area. Then, whether the touch trajectory is started from one side of the non-display area and passed through the display area to be extended to another side of the non-display area is determined. If so, the display area is split according to the touch trajectory to display at least two windows frames. As a result, an intuitional and convenient method for generating multiple windows frames in the display area is provided, and the operation of the electronic device is made very convenient.

  • Publication number: 20170077668
Abstract: An optical fiber apparatus and a method of recovering radiation-induced-attenuation (RIA) onto a rare-earth-doped optical fiber under irradiation are provided in this disclosure. A light source is coupled to a rare-earth doped optical fiber. The light source emits a combination of mode locked pulsed light and non-mode locked quasi-continuous-wave light. The mode locked pulsed light are used to recover RIA onto the rare-earth doped optical fiber in real time, and the non-mode locked light are used to pump the rare-earth doped optical fiber as a gain medium. Each pulsed duration of the mode locked pulsed light is much shorter than operation duration of the non-mode locked light, such that an instantaneous power of the mode locked pulsed light exceeds a saturated pumping power required for the rare-earth doped optical fiber, so as to effectively elevate the core temperature of rare-earth doped fiber to achieve a confined photo-annealed recovery of RIA onto rare-earth doped fibers.

  • Publication number: 20160026887
Abstract: A method for generating an orientation image, adapted to an electronic device, includes the following steps. A plurality of input pixels including a current input pixel of an input image is received. Edge detection is performed on the current input pixel in a first and second direction to generate a first current gradient and a second current gradient respectively with respect to the first direction and the second direction. A ratio of the first current gradient to a current gradient absolute sum is calculated to obtain a current ratio, where the current gradient absolute sum is a sum of absolute values of the first and second current gradient. A sign of the second current gradient is extracted to obtain a current sign. The current ratio and the current sign are inputted to a lookup table to obtain an image orientation angle corresponding to the current input pixel.
