    Abstract: A quick-release connector structure for an air tank includes a connector body incorporated with an air tank and a seat block. The seat block is secured to the air tank and comprises a valve having a post extending forwardly. The valve is acting as a switch to turn the air tank on and off. The connector body comprises a first passage and a second passage. The first passage comprises an air release hole and a through hole. A thimble is disposed in the first passage. A quick-release wrench is provided in a recess disposed on the connector body. The quick-release wrench corresponds to the through hole and is secured by a fastener. By turning the quick-release wrench, the high-pressure air remaining in the pipe is released.

    Abstract: A strained germanium field effect transistor (FET) and method of making the same, comprise forming a germanium layer on a substrate, then forming a Si protective layer on the germanium layer, next forming a gate insulation layer on the Si protective layer, and fmally positioning a gate on the gate insulation layer. The germanium layer is used as a carrier transport channel of the strained germanium FET to improve the drive current and the carrier mobility, and to increase the devices performance effectively. And because the Si protective layer is on the germanium layer, the interface property between the germanium layer and the gate insulation layer is improved.

    Abstract: A keypad device including a parallel/serial conversion device, a keypad module, and a controller coupled to the parallel/serial conversion device and the keypad module. The keys in the keypad module are arranged in parallel. After the key is triggered, an interrupt signal will be fed to the controller. On receiving the interrupt signal, the controller will feed a drive voltage to the keypad module generating a parallel signal therein. After causing the parallel/serial conversion device to read and store the parallel signal, the controller will be able to read the parallel signal serially by using the clock signals. The status of the keypad module can thereby be obtained.

    Abstract: An isolating circuit of transmitting and receiving paths in the same frequency carrier comprises a directional coupler, a phase adjuster, and a mixer. The directional coupler couples a transmitting signal on the transmitting path to the phase adjuster. There is a 90-degree phase difference between an output signal of the phase adjuster and the transmitting signal. The mixer shifts the output signal of the phase adjuster by a 90-degrees phase. Due to poor isolation, a leakage signal is leaked from a transmitting path to a receiving path. The leakage signal is mixed with an output signal of the mixer on the receiving path, and the two signals cancel each other.

    Abstract: A control valve for high pressure fluid includes a valve seat, a valve, a trigger, a washer and an elastic element. The valve seat comprises a chamber, an input channel, an output channel and a pressure release channel. All of the channels are interconnected to the chamber, respectively. The valve, the washer and the elastic element are located within the chamber. The elastic element is constantly urging the valve towards the trigger and against the washer to block the input channel from interconnecting with the output channel, while the output channel and the pressure release channel are interconnected with each other. When the trigger pushes the valve away from the washer, it blocks the pressure release channel and interconnects the input channel and the output channel.

    Abstract: A pressure control device for a paintball gun incorporated with a gun body, a pressure pipe, a high-pressure tank includes a pressure switch connected to a connecting block of the gun body. The pressure switch comprises a block having an inhaling hole and an exhaling hole at respective ends. The inhaling hole of the block is connected with one end of the pressure pipe. The other end of the pressure pipe is connected with the high-pressure tank. The pressure switch is sleeved with a sliding block. The sliding block has a circular ring along its inner wall to guide the inhaling hole and the exhaling hole of the block. When rotating a ring of the pressure switch, the sliding block will move relative to the ring to block the high-pressure air from passing through. Thus, the paintball gun is protected from triggering accidentally to hurt people.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating a barrier layer is described. A material layer having an opening formed therein is provided. Then, the material layer is disposed inside a physical vapor deposition chamber and a first deposition process is performed to form a first barrier layer on the surface of the opening. The first deposition process includes turning on a plasma source and turning off the plasma source. The turning on of the plasma source and the turning off of the plasma source are separated from each other by an interval less than 2 seconds. Thereafter, the first deposition process is repeated several times to form a second barrier layer comprising a plurality of first barrier layers.

    Abstract: A storage structure and method having multiple protocol processor units are disclosed. The storage structure comprises a host CPU, a main memory, a storage device, a switch fabric, and a host bus adapter module. The host bus adapter module includes a plurality of protocol processor nodes for processing frames received from a network, and storing those frames into the storage device. A processing module of the host bus adapter module extracts the session information of each frame and compares it with entries recorded in a look-up table. If the connection information hits one entry of the look-up table, the frame can be bypassed into a corresponding protocol processor node according to the definition of the look-up table. Otherwise, a new entry will be inserted into the look-up table for designating a corresponding protocol processor node.
