Abstract: An input display and fabrication method thereof. The input display comprises a black matrix on a first substrate defining a plurality of sub-pixel areas, a plurality of color filters on the sub-pixel areas, a plurality of light sensitive elements on a second substrate facing the first substrate, a plurality of convex lenses, wherein a central axis of the convex lens is substantially aligned with the light sensitive element, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The convex lenses converge more light on the light sensitive elements, enhancing sensitivity of the input display.

Abstract: A circuit for an integrated interface of a PDA and a wireless communication system is suitable for integrating the PDA and the wireless communication system. The circuit includes a first serial port has two terminals, in which one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the PDA, and another one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the wireless communication system. The first serial port is used to bi-directionally transmit a control signal between the PDA and the wireless communication system. A second serial port has two terminals, in which one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the PDA, and another one of the two terminals is electrically connected to the wireless communication system. The second serial port is used to bi-directionally transmit data between the PDA and the wireless communication system.

Abstract: A touch panel is provided. The touch panel comprises a first substrate and a second substrate facing the first substrate. A black matrix is formed on the first substrate defining a plurality of sub-pixel areas, a plurality of color filters on the sub-pixel areas. A photosensitive sensitive element is formed on the second substrate. The color filters comprise a red color filter, a green color filter, a blue color filter and a white color filter over the photosensitive element.

Abstract: Fabrication methods for compressive strained-silicon by ion implantation. Ions are implanted into a silicon-containing substrate and high temperature processing converts the vicinity of the ion-contained region into strained-silicon. Transistors fabricated by the method are also provided.

Abstract: A battery charging method for a device that has a PDA, a wireless communication system, and a power system having a battery and is charged via an external charging cable. The device further has an external charging circuit for charging the battery. The wireless communication system has an internal charging circuit for charging the battery. The battery charging method includes performing current charging to the battery via the external charging circuit by using the external charging cable; turning on the wireless communication system; and turning on the internal charging circuit for charging after the wireless communication system is turned on.

Abstract: A paintball gun triggering mechanism includes a front barrel, a rear barrel, a triggering barrel and a rear guide rod. A front end of the front barrel comprises a front ring formed inwardly and a retreating air inlet is provided behind the front ring. A front end of the rear barrel is fixedly connected to a rear end of the front barrel, and a retreating air outlet, a rear ring and a launching air inlet are provided in sequence behind the connecting portion of the front barrel and the rear barrel. The triggering barrel comprises a center ring formed at a center outer portion thereof and is placed in the front barrel and the rear barrel. The rear guide rod has a piston at a front end thereof to be inserted into the triggering barrel, and has its rear end secured to the rear end of the rear barrel.

Abstract: A paintball gun utilizes pressurized air to fire a paintball to avoid using a spool protruding from a barrel to fire the paintball which may pinch the user's finger, accidentally. The paintball gun also uses a low pressure regulator to seal a port of the barrel to block pressurized air from entering into the barrel to prevent triggering the gun and damaging others.

Abstract: A circuit and operating method for an integrated interface of a PDA and a wireless communication system are disclosed. The circuit includes a PDA-turn-on-wireless-communication-system signal line, a PDA-reset-wireless-communication-system signal line, a PDA-state signal line, a wireless-communication-system-state/wake-up-PDA signal line and two serial ports, wherein the serial ports are electrically connected between the PDA and the wireless communication system, and one of the two ports is used to transmit control signal and status data, another one of the two ports is used to transmit digital data signals. Moreover, the PDA-turn-on-wireless-communication-system signal line and the PDA-reset-wireless-communication-system signal line makes the PDA able to turn on and reset the wireless communication system, respectively. The PDA-state signal line and the wireless-communication-system-state/wake-up-PDA signal line transmit the status of the PDA and wireless communication system to each other.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display having one or more pixels, each of which includes a first sub-pixel operating at a first threshold voltage, and a second sub-pixel neighboring the first sub-pixel, and operating at a second threshold voltage. The first sub-pixel is divided into two separate portions by the second sub-pixel to form at least four domains of liquid crystal molecules illuminating at various gray levels for improving viewing angle characteristics of the liquid crystal display.

Abstract: A light reflecting triggering device for a paintball gun includes a trigger and a light reflector. The light reflector has a light emission unit and a light receiving unit spaced each other. When the trigger is pressed, the trigger will extend into the light reflector and the light from the light emission unit will be reflected to the light receiving unit. The light reflector transmits a signal to trigger the paintball bullet. Each light represents one shot of the paintball bullet in a fast and precision manner.

Abstract: A plug detection circuit. The detected circuit is disposed in an electronics device with an earphone jack, accepting plugs with a plurality of conductive rings. The detection circuit has a plurality of pins, wherein a first pin detects, and outputs a first logic potential, and a second pin detects the potentials at the conductive rings and outputs a second logic potential. The detection circuit determines the type of earphone connected to the earphone jack.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a light-emitting element with a heterojunction of group IV is provided. The method comprises at least the steps of: (1) providing a silicon substrate having a first and a second surfaces; (2) forming a germanium layer on the first surface; (3) forming a cap layer on the germanium layer; (4) forming a oxidation layer on the cap layer; (5) forming a first conductive layer on the oxidation layer; (6) forming a second conductive layer on the second surface; and (7) respectively forming a conductive wire on the first and second conductive layers. The light-emitting element of MOS semiconductor manufactured by the abovementioned steps is characterized in the emission of long wavelength.

Abstract: A quick-release device for a cylinder of a paintball gun includes a gun body, a cylinder and a clutch set. The gun body has a barrel to accommodate the cylinder therein. The barrel comprises a ring ditch, a guiding entrance and a hole at a rear end thereof. The guiding entrance connects the ring ditch to outside. The ring ditch interconnects with the hole. The clutch set is disposed in the cylinder. When the clutch set is inserted into the ring ditch from the guiding entrance, by rotating the cylinder, the clutch set will be moved to align with the hole and secured thereat to confine the movement of the cylinder.

Abstract: A MCM (multi-carrier modulation) receiver that utilizes a plurality sub-carriers (e.g., tones) to transmit information in a frame-by-frame manner. Identify a first subset of sub-carriers that have negligible ISI (inter-symbol interference) and ICI (inter-carrier interference), and a second subset of sub-carriers that ISI/ICI cancellation is needed to improve the performance. For sub-carriers in the first subset, conventional equalization is performed to obtained soft decisions. For those sub-carriers in the second subset, perform ISI cancellation then ICI cancellation along with equalization. For sub-carriers in the second subset, identify a series of third subsets (one for each of the sub-carriers in the second subset) that cause interference to the sub-carriers in the second set. For sub-carriers in the third subset, identify a series of fourth subsets from a previous frame that cause interference to the sub-carriers in the third set.

Abstract: A transistor device with strained Ge layer by selectively growth and a fabricating method thereof are provided. A strained Ge layer is selectively grown on a substrate, so that the material of source/drain region is still the same as that of the substrate, and the strained Ge layer serves as a carry transport channel. Therefore, the performance of the device characteristics can be improved and the leakage current of the transistor may be approximately commensurate with that of a Si substrate field effect transistor (FET).

Abstract: A loader switch structure for a paint ball gun includes a load tube and a ring. The load tube contains a plurality of retaining members, a flange, and a plurality of through holes above the flange to receive the retaining members. The ring is placed on the flange and contains a plurality of channels corresponding in position to the through holes. By turning the ring to enter or exit the retaining members of the load tube into or from the through holes for preventing waste of paint balls and improving safety. The load tube further comprises a plurality of locking units for precise positioning in an open status, ensuring a facilitated passage and preventing jammed paint balls.

Abstract: A MCM (multi-carrier modulation) receiver that utilizes a plurality tones to transmit information. Identify a first subset of tones that have negligible ISI (inter-symbol interference) and ICI (inter-carrier interference), and a second subset of tones that ISI/ICI cancellation is needed to improve the performance. For tones in the first subset, conventional FEQ (frequency-domain equalization) is performed to obtained soft decisions from the raw decisions. For those tones in the second subset, perform FEQ along with ICI/ISI cancellation. For tones in the second subset, identify a third subset (one for each of the tones in the second subset) to perform ICI cancellation and a series of fourth subsets (one for each of the tones in the second subset) to perform ISI cancellation.

Abstract: A two-stage percussion device for a paint ball gun includes a piston tube and a push rod in conjunction with a barrel. A separation ring is disposed between the middle and the rear sections of the barrel. The piston tube is accommodated in the middle section of the barrel. The push rod is disposed in the rear section of the barrel. A plunger is provided at the front end of the push rod. The rear section of the push rod passes through the separation ring and is disposed with a piston block. An air storage space is formed between the plunger and the separation ring.
