  • Patent number: 10026290
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for increasing construction site safety. The present invention reduces the risk of a construction or similar large vehicle or piece of mobile machinery hitting a construction worker. The system uses low-power wireless beacons embedded in a construction worker's hardhat or otherwise on the construction worker's person. The low-power wireless beacon interacts with sensor modules around the construction site, on construction vehicles, on construction equipment, or any other suitable placement known to or conceivable by one of skill in the art. The sensor modules send alert signals to a display accessible to a driver of the vehicle, and/or a foreman on the construction site. While the present invention is discussed herein in the context of construction safety, it should be noted that such a system can be applied to any situation where tracking and alert generation would be beneficial.

  • Patent number: 9966913
Abstract: A Programmable-Gain Amplifier (PGA) has programming steps that are linear when expressed in Decibels (linear-in-dB). A Recursive Current Division (RCD) resistor network generates currents that are selected by programmable switches to connect to a summing node input of an amplifier. A feedback resistor is connected across the summing node and the amplifier output. The resistor network has only three resistance values regardless of the number of currents selectable as programming steps. The value of a third resistor is set equal to the equivalent resistance of a second resistor in parallel with a series connection of a first resistor and the third resistors. Each final cell in the resistor network is equivalent to the third resistor, allowing recursive division of adjacent currents. The ratio of adjacent currents remains constant for all cells. Recursive Current Division (RCD) produces linear-in-dB programming steps. Floating switches are avoided since switches connect to ground.

  • Patent number: 9852068
Abstract: The method for maintaining a storage mapping table is introduced. After a total number of logical blocks, which exceeds a specified number, have been programmed into a storage unit, an access interface is directed to program a corresponding group of a storage mapping table of a DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) into a first block of the storage unit according to a group number of an unsaved group queue. A group mapping table of the DRAM is updated to indicate that the latest data of the group of the storage mapping table is stored in which location in the storage unit. The group number is removed from the unsaved group queue.
