  • Patent number: 9281119
Abstract: A system using a three-coil topology for wireless power transfer is disclosed. The system comprises a primary resonator coupled to a power source, a repeater resonator and a receiver resonator. The primary resonator has a primary coil, and the repeater resonator has a repeater coil adjacent to the primary coil. The repeater coil and the primary coil are separated by a distance selected, and the repeater coil is configured, to amplify a primary-coil current by inductively generating a repeater-coil current that is substantially greater than the primary-coil current. A magnetic field contributed from both the primary-coil current and the repeater-coil current is generated while the power source needs not provide a terminal voltage across the repeater coil, thereby discouraging occurrence of voltage stress at the power source. The receiver resonator has a receiver coil, which receives the magnetic field to inductively generate a receiver-coil current for feeding to a load.

  • Publication number: 20150346402
Abstract: The near-infrared radiation absorbing masterbatch provided is prepared by melt-extruding a mixture comprising near-infrared radiation absorbing particles and a first polymer. The particles have a near-infrared absorption at a wavelength ranging from 0.7 ?m to 2 ?m and a far-infrared emissivity equal to or more than 0.85. The near-infrared light radiated by the particles has a wavelength ranging from 2 ?m to 22 ?m. Accordingly, the product made from the masterbatch, such as the near-infrared radiation absorbing fiber, plate, or film can not only absorb sunlight and store heat, but also radiate far-infrared light. Hence, the product has a thermal effect for keeping the human body warm and can serve as indoor and outdoor heat storing products at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20150327813
Abstract: A signal processing method and system combines multi-scale decomposition, such as wavelet, pre-processing together with a compression technique, such as an auto-associative artificial neural network, operating in the multi-scale decomposition domain for signal denoising and extraction. All compressions are performed in the decomposed domain. A reverse decomposition such as an inverse discrete wavelet transform is performed on the combined outputs from all the compression modules to recover a clean signal back in the time domain. A low-cost, non-drug, non-invasive, on-demand therapy braincap system and method are pharmaceutically nonintrusive to the body for the purpose of disease diagnosis, treatment therapy, and direct mind control of external devices and systems. It is based on recognizing abnormal brainwave signatures and intervenes at the earliest moment, using magnetic and/or electric stimulations to reset the brainwaves back to normality.
