    Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and a LCD device using the same are provided. The LCD panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, an optical filter layer and a color conversion layer. The first substrate and the second substrate correspond to each other and seal the liquid crystal layer. Several pixels are constituted by the first substrate and the second substrate. The optical filter layer is disposed on the first substrate for a first color light to pass through. The color conversion layer is disposed at the second substrate. The color conversion layer has a first color conversion area, a second color conversion area and a passing area in each pixel, such that a second color light and a third color light are produced after the first color light passes through the first color conversion area and the second color conversion area, respectively.

    Abstract: A backlight controller, a display device using the same and a method for controlling a backlight module are provided. The backlight controller includes a temporal weighting module and a dimming controlling module. The temporal weighting module calculates a weight sum of a first backlight luminance provided in a current frame and a target backlight luminance to serve as an adjusted backlight luminance. The target backlight luminance is obtained according to an image content of the current frame. The dimming controlling module increases or decreases the adjusted backlight luminance by a step value according to the target backlight luminance and generates a second backlight luminance provided in a next frame. Therefore, a backlight luminance of the backlight module not only can be smoothly adjusted to the target backlight luminance at high speed for avoiding backlight flicker, but also can be adaptive to image content for saving electric power consumption.

    Abstract: A novel solvent system for dissolving rigid-rod like polymers, such as polybenzoxazole (PBO), is disclosed, wherein said solvent system includes: a methanesulfonic acid (MSA) and a trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). Therefore, the rigid-rod like polybenzoxazole (PBO) can be easily dissolved in said solvent system without extra heat treatment. Besides, the polybenzoxazole (PBO) solution of said solvent system is firstly able to apply into electrospinning at room temperature to produce PBO nano-fiber, which has metallic luster and high thermal stability. Evident supported by the WAXD suggested these fibers have their molecular chains well aligned along the fiber spinning direction and has the advantages of heat resistance, flame retardance, and chemical environmental resistance, thus can be applied to a wide usage.

    Abstract: A low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) transmitter receives a data signal, a data invert signal and a plurality of logic signals. The LVDS transmitter includes a first-stage differential signaling transmitting circuit and a second-stage differential signaling transmitting circuit. The first-stage differential signaling transmitting circuit receives the data signal and the data invert signal and has a first output terminal and a second output terminal. The second-stage differential signaling transmitting circuit is controlled by the logic signals, and has a third output terminal and a fourth output terminal respectively connected to the first output terminal and the second output terminal, so as to generate a needed pre-emphasis signal. When no pre-emphasis signal needs to be generated, the second-stage differential signaling transmitting circuit is controlled to be in disabled state.

    Abstract: A dual damascene process. A first photoresist layer with a first opening corresponding to a trench pattern is formed on a dielectric layer. A second photoresist layer with a second opening corresponding to a via pattern smaller then the trench pattern is formed on the first photoresist layer and extends to a portion of the dielectric layer. The second photoresist layer has a material character different from the first photoresist layer. A via etching process using the second photoresist as a mask is performed to form a via hole passing through the dielectric layer. A photoresist ashing process is performed to remove the second photoresist layer. A trench etching process using the first photoresist layer as a mask is performed to form a trench in the upper portion of the dielectric layer. The via etching process, the photoresist ashing process and the trench etching process are performed as a continuous process in one chamber.

The switchable current source apparatus receives a first input voltage and a second input voltage, and generates a plurality of reference currents according to the first input voltage and the second input voltage. The differential signaling generator includes a plurality of first transistors, a plurality of second transistors, a first output voltage terminal and a second output voltage terminal. The on or off states of the first transistors and the second transistors are controlled by the reference currents. The first output voltage terminal outputs a first output voltage, and the second output voltage terminal outputs a second output voltage. The first output voltage and the second output voltage are determined according to the on or off states of the first and second transistors.
