Abstract: A method for automatically searching information pertaining to a target object using an electronic device includes detecting a user operation applied to a document which is displayed, obtaining information regarding the detected user operation, and determining whether the information regarding the detected user operation matches information regarding a predetermined user operation. Upon determining a match, the target object which corresponds to the user operation is obtained, and a preset search tool is activated and controlled, without further input from a user, to search and retrieve information pertaining to the target object.

Abstract: A page zooming method for an electronic device includes the following steps. Displaying a page on the touch screen. Generating operation signals in response to a touch operation applied on the displayed page. Determining the touch operation as a page zoom gesture if one or more points on the displayed page is touched. Determining a quantity of the touched points of the touch operation, and determining the page zoom gesture is a zoom in gesture or a zoom out gesture and a zoom ratio according to the determined quantity of the touched points. Creating a zoomed page according to the displayed page, the determined zoom ratio and the determined type of the page zoom gesture. Displaying the zoomed page on the touch screen. An electronic device using the page zooming method is also provided.

Abstract: In a method for dynamically indicating data transmission progress using an electronic device, the method includes rendering in a first gray scale a background image corresponding to target data to be transmitted, acquiring a transmission completion percentage of the target data during a transmission process of the target data, and rendering in a second gray scale a portion of the background image having the transmission completion percentage.

Abstract: An icon management system and method for an electronic device are provided. The icon management system includes a number of software units stored in a storage device which are executed by a processor to: determine that a touch input applied to an icon is an icon move operation; actuate the icon into a moveable state; update the location of the icon in response to a drag operation on a current page; detect a trace corresponding to the drag operation on the current page; recognize the trace and determine whether the trace matches an image of a page number among a number of page numbers; control a display device to display a target page associated with a matched page number, if the trace matches an image of a page number among the page numbers; and locate the icon on the target page after the target page is displayed.

Abstract: A method for displaying a contact list of a mobile terminal in order of priority levels is provided. The method includes steps: receiving an incoming call or message; obtaining an incoming phone number of the received call or message; finding out a calling contact associated with the incoming phone number on a contact list of the mobile terminal; obtaining remaining phone numbers associated with the calling contact; setting priority levels for all the phone numbers associated with the calling contact; and displaying all the phone numbers associated with the calling contact in an order of decreasing priority levels from high to low on a display screen of the mobile terminal A related mobile terminal is also provided.

Abstract: A method for adjusting desktop icons displayed on a display of an electronic device is provided. The method includes the following steps. Recording, by a processor during every predefined time interval, a running time period of each of a plurality of applications installed on the electronic device, each of the plurality of applications being associated with an icon. Obtaining, by the processor, a quantity of use times of each of the plurality of applications. Arranging, by the processor during every predefined time interval, the icons associated the plurality of applications according to the quantity of use times and the running time periods of the plurality of applications. And controlling, by a processor during every predefined time interval, to display a desktop showing the arranged icons on the display in a predefined display manner. An electronic device using the method is also provided.

Abstract: A control system and method for controlling user interfaces on an electronic device are provided. The control system includes a processor configured to execute instructions stored in a storage unit to: determine whether a rotation angle of the electronic device is in an angle range; create a rotated user interface group; create a first planar coordinate system on a rotated user interface of the rotated user interface group; define a first region which the rotated user interface is rotated an angle of the rotation angle of the electronic device; create a second planar coordinate system on the rotated user interface group; define a second region which has a same region as that of the first region; and display the contents on the second region.

Abstract: A recognition system and method for recognizing handwriting on an electronic device are provided. The recognition system includes a processor configured to execute instructions stored in a memory for: creating handwriting in response to a handwriting input; displaying the created handwriting on a user interface of the electronic device; defining a first planar coordinate system on the user interface; determining the electronic device is rotated if a rotation angle is larger than a predetermined value; defining a second planar coordinate system on the user interface; identifying a coordinate of each touched point of the handwriting in the second planar coordinate system; recognizing the handwriting according to the coordinate and retrieving one or more first characters or words matching the handwriting; and displaying the retrieved one or more first characters or words on the user interface.

Abstract: A page flipping method for an electronic device is provided. An exemplary method includes the following steps: displaying an interface comprising a page preview region and a page flipping region; displaying a page on the page flipping region, and displaying an icon group comprising a plurality of icons on the page preview region; determining whether a flipping gesture is applied on the page flipping region; determining the type of the flipping gesture; determining a page flipping manner according to the determined result of the gesture and a function table, and retrieving a corresponding target page according to the determined page flipping manner; creating a new icon group according to the retrieved target page; and displaying the target page on the page flipping region, and displaying the created new icon group on the page preview region. An electronic device using the page processing method is also provided.

Abstract: A control system and method for controlling background color for a mobile terminal are provided. The control system includes a processor configured to execute instructions stored in a memory to: sample a plurality of pixels on a predetermined area during a predetermined interval; determine a main color among the sampled pixels, the main color is a color that most sampled pixels have; and determine a background color according to the main color.

Abstract: An interface icon updating system for updating positions of icons displayed on an interface of a user terminal includes a storage module, a statistics module, a category conformation module, an icon conformation module and an icon replacement module. The storage module stores a relationship between the icons and program categories corresponding to application programs associated with the icons. The statistics module calculates operated times of each icon in a preset period of time. The category conformation module determines the icon operated the most times in the preset period of time, and determines the program category corresponding to the application program associated with determined icon according to the relationship. The icon conformation module determines other icons associated with determined category according to the relationship. The icon replacement module arranges all determined icons at a preset area of the interface. The disclosure also provides an icon updating method.

The terminal parameter obtaining module obtains parameters of a display of a customer terminal when the customer terminal visits a web site. The storage module stores web resources corresponding to web sites. The web configuration module stores a relationship between parameters of displays, the web resources, and web configuration properties. The property determination module determines the web configuration property corresponding to the obtained parameter and the web resources. The web loading module loads the determined web configuration property to the web resource corresponding to form a web page. The disclosure also provided a web server system and a web providing method.

Abstract: A method for generating a customized web page is provided. The method includes identifying an identity of a user when the user opens a browser to browse content from a web server and obtaining partial content of the web page from the web server. The obtained partial content is associated with the user's customized topics of the web page. A customized web page is created according to the obtained partial content and the created customized web page is displayed.

Abstract: A method for displaying a virtual momentum or inertia of an object includes detecting a slide operation applied to the object and obtaining information of the slide operation. An initial speed, a first slide direction, and a sliding distance of the object are calculated according to the obtained information after a user ceases applying a slide operation to the object. A slide path of the object is determined according to the calculated initial speed, the calculated first slide direction, and the calculated sliding distance. The object is controlled to continue sliding, subject to an apparent friction and apparent collisions with edges of a display screen, along the determined slide path after the user ceases to apply an actual sliding operation.

Abstract: A method for permitting a first communication device to share data traffic with a second communication device is provided, where at least the user of the second device subscribes to a data traffic plan. The server of telecommunications network determines whether the authorization code and an identity information of the first communication device sent by the first communication device matches the authorization code and a related identity information stored in the server; if so, the data quantity sent to or from the first communication device is counted for billing to the second communication device.

Abstract: A method for playing audio out of a video file includes the following steps. Open a video file stored in a storage unit. Decode the opened video file. Separate the video file into video data and audio data wherein the audio data comprises a plurality of pieces of music data. A starting position and an ending position of each piece of music data is established and recorded by reference to the spectral characteristics. All indexed passages of music data are then playable according to the recorded starting and ending positions. An electronic device using the same is also provided.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a storage unit, a touch display unit and a central processing unit. The central processing unit includes a control module, a searching module, and a spit-screen module. The control module generates a first window on the touch display unit to display a text document when the text document is opened, and determines a selected text of the displayed text document by a user according to touch positions when the touch display unit is touched. The searching module searches occurrences of the selected text in the text document, and the control module stores the searched text in the storage unit. The spit-screen module displays each occurrence of the selected text on a second window produced thereby with a size thereof smaller than that of the first window. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: Method for generating an interface for displaying network information comprising, obtaining signal strength of a network connecting a terminal device and a server, uploading information and downloading information between the terminal device and the server in real time. A network interface is generated according to the signal strength of network, an upload interface is generated according to the upload information, and a download interface is generated according to the download information. The upload interface, the network interface and the download interface are displayed and update in real time.

Abstract: Method for controlling a number of applications to execute input commands simultaneously comprises determining whether a share command is generated and identifying currently running applications when the share command is generated. The general input commands are received and are copied. At least one background application is controlled to execute the copied general input commands. An electronic device using the above method is also provided.

Abstract: A method for managing a file system includes traversing the file system to create a directory tree corresponding to the file system. The directory tree comprises at least one parent node and at least one child node. Each of the at least one parent nodes of the directory tree corresponds to a folder of the file system. Each of the at least one child nodes of the directory tree corresponds to a file of the file system. All the nodes of the directory tree are monitored to determine whether the directory tree changes. Changed information of the file system is extracted when the directory tree changes. A file storage device using the method is also provided by the present disclosure.
