Abstract: A data transmitting device communicating with a data receiving device includes a touch display unit displaying a plurality of icons and a control unit. The controlling module determines a first starting position, a touch path, and a first end position of a touch of a user, and a selected icon according to the first starting position, and calculates a transmission progress of data transmission. When the first end position is located on the predetermined position, the data corresponding to the selected icon and position information associated with the first starting position, the touch path, and the first end position are transmitted to the data receiving device. The selected icon is moved from the first starting position to the first end position along the touch path according to the transmission progress. A data transmitting device and a data transmitting media are also provided.

Abstract: An electronic reader includes a storage unit configured for storing files and a processor. The processor includes a file display control module, a first file creating module and a second file creating module. The file display control module is configured for obtaining and displaying the files opened by user input. The first file creating module is configured for creating temporary files recording the comments and the amended sections of the opened files in response to user input. Each of the temporary files corresponds to one of the opened files. The second file creating module is configured for combining contents of the temporary files into a file. The contents of the temporary files are arranged in the file according to a predetermined rule if the formats of the temporary files are the same.

Abstract: An electronic reading apparatus comprises an input unit receiving input operations, a detect unit detecting and capturing images reflected by the input unit and a processing unit configured to receive the images to generate interruption signals; determine whether the number of the interruption signals reaches a pre-determined value in a pre-determined time; calculate a movement direction and a distance of the object on the input unit if the number of the interruption signals reaches the pre-determined value in the pre-determined time; determine a cursor displacement on the display unit and display a movement track of the cursor on a display unit. An input method for previewing files is also provided.

The stylus includes a flexible and conductive nib including a plurality of flexible sub-nibs, and a body for receiving the nib and sub-nibs. The sub-nibs touching the touch screen causes changes in the charges of the touch spots actually touched. The processing unit determines the number of the touch spots which have been touched according to changes in the charges of the touch spots, and controls the weight or lightness of the corresponding stroke displayed on the touch screen according to the determined number of the touched touch spots.

The processing unit includes a file retrieving module, a refreshing mode control module, a block setting module, and a display control module. The file retrieving module retrieves one or more shapes or figures, to be displayed for effect, and the content of a new target page when a content updating signal is received. The refreshing mode control module controls the electronic reader to operate in a refreshing mode. The block setting module determines the blocks to be refreshed and the order in which the blocks are to be refreshed. The display control module controls the display unit to firstly update the content of a block with the one or more shapes or figures, and then update with retrieved new content by refreshing the blocks one after another in a predetermined procedural order. A related method is also provided.

The mode control module controls the electronic reader to operate in a refreshing mode in which the display screen is divided into a plurality of predetermined blocks. The block setting module determines one or more blocks. The display control module controls the display unit to update the content at the determined blocks with the corresponding retrieved content by refreshing the determined blocks one after another. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: An exemplary electronic device used for a synchronous control system includes an input unit, a communication unit, a storage unit, and a control module. The input unit includes at least one key including a unique key code. The storage unit stores a code table recording key codes of each of the at least one key. The control module executes the function associated with a key or a key combination manipulated by a user, and determines the key code associated with the key or the key combination. The control module further transmits the determined key codes to other electronic devices to control the other electronic devices to also execute the same instruction as the corresponding instruction associated with the determined key code associated with the key or the combination. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a processor, an internal memory for storing system information and installing programs, and a memory expansion interface for connecting an expansion memory. The expansion memory is partitioned into at least one region to expand the internal memory. The internal memory is partitioned into a system region and a user region; the system region is used to store system information while the user region can be controlled and used by a user. The processor further includes a detection unit and a memory management unit. The detection unit detects the connection of the expansion memory to the memory expansion interface, and the memory management unit determines whether the expansion memory has been previously configured to expand the internal memory, and if not, the memory management unit associates the expansion memory with the internal memory to expand the internal memory.

Abstract: A remote control for an electronic device comprises an input unit for generating control signals, a connector and a microprocessor. A connector with a plurality of interfaces, one end of connector is electrically connected to a transmission unit of the remote control via a data bus, each of the interfaces of the connector is configured for engaging with an interface of the electronic device for transmitting the control signals to the electronic device. The microprocessor determines which interface to transmit the control signals to the electronic device to control the electronic device to flip pages. A signal transmission method applied in a remote control for an electronic device is also provided.

Abstract: A connection controller and connection control method for controlling the connections of a peripheral device with a computer is provided. The connection controller can detect the connection status of the peripheral devices and initializes the peripheral device while the peripheral device is connected. The connection controller transmits an interrupt signal to the computer while the peripheral device is initialized to allow the computer to access the peripheral device. Alternatively, the connection controller generates a suspend signal to switch off the power supply track from the computer to the peripheral device, and the connection controller will then be suspended without unloading the driver of the peripheral device to eliminate the repetition of loading and unloading the driver of the peripheral device.

The processing unit identifies the remote code after receiving the trigger signal, and drives the interface unit to emit the corresponding coded pulse to the electronic device, and at the same time the processing unit drives the touch screen to display the next level remote control interface.

The input unit generates input signals according to operations of a user. The state detecting unit detects real-time values of the state parameters. The state recording unit obtains the real-time values of predetermined state parameters when the input signals are received. The state analysis unit analyzes whether the times of an operation under a same state parameter value or in same state parameter value range has reached or equal to a predetermined number of times within a predetermined time period. If yes, the state analysis unit determines the operation is a habit and the state parameter value corresponding to the operation is the state parameter value of the habit. The processing unit executes a task corresponding to the habit.

A guidance list is stored in the storage, which defines a relationship between users and guidance behaviors relating to the users, the guidance behaviors includes guide speeds and word changes corresponding to the user. The reading control module includes a font changing sub-module and a page flipping control module. The font changing sub-module searches the guidance list to obtain the guide speed and the word changes corresponding to a particular user, and controls the fonts of the words on a current page of the file to change sequentially according to the guide speed and the word changes. The flipping control sub-module signals the content display module to flip to a next page when the current page is finished. A related method of guide reading is also provided.

Through partition design for the GUI, the electronic device can respectively scan the touch areas, which replace the existing scanning method to scan the whole touch panel, and it is more efficient.

The touch panel includes touch sensitive units, and each touch sensitive unit can be identified by an unique coordinate. The processing unit determines whether first two touch sensitive points are touched at the same time, and further determines whether two more touch sensitive points are also touched at the same time within a preset time interval. The processing unit calculates distance between the first two touched points and then a distance between the second two touched points. The processing unit compares the first distance value with the second distance value, and zooms in or zoom out a displayed image according to the result. A related method is also provided.
