  • Publication number: 20110083122
Abstract: An automated system is provided to support massive scale grid of machines in a rapid, multi-developer coding environment. The system has virtual testing environments that are created from template machines, supporting various software versions for various code branches. The grid is built by having a small subset of template machines (e.g. with Oracle 9g, 10g, and application server installations), images of the template machines, virtual machine instances created by applying one or more of the image templates, which then are used by the virtual testing environment. Upon receipt of code changes, changes are checked-out, compiled, tested on various test feeds on a virtual testing environment, which is destroyed and re-created after every test run. Any software version upgrades or bug fixes need to be applied only to the template machines. The number of virtual machines associated with any particular template machine is dynamically configurable to provision for optimal use of testing machines.

  • Publication number: 20090113892
Abstract: A liquid solar thermal collector generation system has a liquid unit, a solar vaporizer, a turbine generator, a cooling and condensing unit, and a main control unit. The solar vaporizer heats a liquid from the liquid unit and converts the liquid to steam as a rotating power resource. As such result, the turbine generator is driven and then generates an electric power source. The steam passing through the turbine generator is re-converted to the liquid through the cooling and condensing unit, so the liquid unit from the cooling and condensing unit is recycled by the liquid unit. Therefore, the gaseous coolant solar thermal collector generation system utilizes the solar power to heat the coolant and further drive the steam generator, so the stream solar thermal collector generation system effectively utilizes the nature resource to generate the electric power source.

  • Publication number: 20070273932
Abstract: A method for providing a self-designed image on a clock surface includes the steps necessary to form the image on the clock surface. The user chooses any kind of image he/she likes to be printed on the clock surface. After the image is chosen, the image is digitized and processed to have a dimension the same as that of the clock surface. A piece of paper having seams formed on a top side and adhesive on the other side is prepared. Then the processed image is printed on top of the piece of paper. The piece of paper is processed to remove or cut-off the additional parts at the seams to leave only the image-printed portion. Due to the adhesive on the back of the paper, the user is able to attach the piece of paper on the clock surface to complete the method.

  • Publication number: 20070166998
Abstract: An interconnecting process is described. First, a dielectric layer with a plurality of openings is provided. Then, a metallic layer is formed to fill up the openings. A first dielectric barrier layer is formed to cover the dielectric layer and the metallic layer. Thereafter, a second dielectric barrier layer is formed over the first dielectric barrier layer. The second dielectric barrier layer is used to repair the first dielectric barrier layer and improve the reliability and yield of the process.

  • Publication number: 20060218829
Abstract: A moving-loop advertisement device has a rolling screen that surrounds a driving roller and three driven rollers to increase the quantity of the advertisements printed on the rolling screen. A position sensor is applied to detect labels formed on the rolling screen so as to pause the movement of the screen. A coil or helical ribs with opposite twisting directions is further provided on either or both the driving roller and the driven roller. When the rollers start to rotate, the rolling screen is moved upward or downward to sequentially present different advertisement information printed thereon. Meanwhile, as the rotation of the coil or helical ribs, tension forces with opposite directions occur and apply on the rolling screen to maintain the surface of the rolling screen in a smooth flat state.

  • Patent number: 6937407
Abstract: A transmission device for a 2D image display module includes rods in the box, a transmission element slidably mounted around the rods, a motor in the box and having a disk rotatably connected to a motor shaft, a driving rod eccentrically formed on top of the disk and a driving board provided with a slot defined to receive therein the driving rod, wherein distal ends of the transmission element are securely connected to the driving board, and a securing member securely connected to the transmission element to be adapted to connect to either the backboard or the lens. Rotation of the driving rod is able to drive the driving board to move, which drives the lens to move opposite to the driving board so that the image is revealed as a result of relative movement between the backboard and the lens.

  • Patent number: 6904376
Abstract: A calibration device for a two dimensional (2D) image display module includes a securing member adapted to secure the lens to the box and having extensions extending out from the box, multiple first elongated holes in opposite sides of the backboard to correspond to the extensions and multiple second elongated holes in opposite sides of the lens to align with the first elongated holes of the backboard such that the extensions extending through the corresponding first elongated holes of the backboard are able to extend through the second elongated holes of the lens. A riveting device is provided to allow the lens to be pivotable relative to the box. Pivotal movement of the cam in a cam hole in the lens is able to force the backboard to move linearly and thus relative position between the lens and the backboard is adjusted.

  • Patent number: 5757478
Abstract: A sensor for determining a one-dimensional component of the angular orientation of a radiation source relative to the sensor has a radiation sensitive element which produces an electrical signal representative of radiation incidence upon the element. A radiation-opaque mask is mounted between the element and the radiation source. A first plurality of parallel slit apertures are provided in the mask. The slits are spaced relative to one another, and the element is aligned relative to the mask, such that radiation emitted by the source through at least one of the slits is simultaneously incident upon at least two independent radiation-sensitive points on the element while the source is within an intended operational range of the sensor; and, the points are displaced from the one slit by different distances.
