  • Publication number: 20200264395
Abstract: An adapter assembly includes a single-piece or two-piece multi-fiber adapter defining a recess at which a contact assembly is disposed. The adapter assemblies can be disposed within adapter block assemblies or cassettes, which can be mounted to moveable trays. Both ports of the adapters disposed within adapter block assemblies are accessible. Only one port of each adapter disposed within the cassettes are accessible. Circuit boards can be mounted within the block assemblies or cassettes to provide communication between the contact assemblies and a data network.

  • Publication number: 20190389036
Abstract: A two-station self-centering vise to hold a pair of work pieces is described. The pieces are held in place against a centered fixed jaw, being clamped against the centered fixed jaw by a pair of movable jaws located on either side of the centered jaw and that simultaneously move toward or away from the centered jaw on actuation of a lead screw. The vise may be converted to a single station vise by removable of the fixed center jaw. A spring loaded, adjustable, friction pad attached to the base of one of the two movable jaws enables temporary clamping of a first work piece while the second workpiece is being installed and once both workpieces are in place the lead screw is turned further to securely and accurately hold the workpieces in between the movable jaws and the fixed central jaw.

  • Patent number: 10479428
Abstract: A patio that is pivotable over a ramp door via hinges fixed with respect to the ramp door. The patio has a wall that is pivots to align a catch plate to a kingpin. The kingpin is for being secured to the ramp door. The kingpin has a major diameter, an undercut, and a shoulder near a distal end. The shoulder is spaced from the ramp door when the kingpin is affixed to the ramp door. The catch plate is moveable to the kingpin so that the slot receives the undercut of the kingpin and the catch plate is retained between the shoulder of the kingpin and ramp door when the undercut is in the first slot.

  • Patent number: 10436549
Abstract: An improved handguard for AR type rifles is shown. The handguard system uses an offset cam with a dual tapered side surface that engages a tapered circumferential groove on the barrel nut. Tightening the cam in place forces the receiver end of the handguard to clamp simultaneously against the barrel nut and against the front edge of the upper receiver of the rifle.

  • Patent number: 10363380
Abstract: A surgical device that provides a suction force against a patient's body. The device includes a handle and a suction head pivotally attached to the handle. The suction head includes an open-ended suction chamber having a rim positioned to engage the patient's skin. An actuator on the handle operates a pump to draw a negative pressure in the suction chamber, causing the rim to seal against the patient's skin via the suction force. Once the suction force is initiated, the user may lift the handle away from the patient's body to lift tissue. The lifted tissue provides a site for insertion of a trocar or Veress needle for a laparoscopic procedure in some embodiments. A gimbal disposed between the handle and the suction head provides at least two degrees of freedom such that the handle can be rotated and pivoted to optimize the direction of applied lifting force.

  • Publication number: 20190175164
Abstract: A surgical device that provides a suction force against a patient's body. The device includes a stem having a proximate end and a distal end, the stem disposed about a channel, a suction head extending from the stem and defining a suction chamber in fluid communication with the channel, the suction head having a contact surface, and an articulating joint disposed between the contact surface of the suction head and the distal end of the stem. The articulating joint may be an annular joint and a living hinge. The surgical device may also include a handle disposed about the channel directly or may be disposed about the stem which is disposed about the channel. The handle may include a plurality of ribs extending outward which form a profile matching a profile of a user's hand.

  • Publication number: 20190082887
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a solid-fuel cooker, such as a barbecue, comprising: a body defining a chamber configured to act as a firebox for combustion of solid fuel, such as charcoal or briquettes; a fuel support structure for supporting the solid fuel in the chamber; and an ignition system for igniting the solid fuel supported by the support structure. The ignition system comprises at least one electric heating element mounted to the body and located in or adjacent to the chamber for heating the solid fuel supported by the support structure, the at least one electric heating element configured to be switched between an electrically energized (i.e. switched “on”) state and an electrically de-energized (i.e., switched “off”) state. The at least one electric heating element is configured to transfer heat to the solid fuel supported by the support structure to ignite the solid fuel when the switch is operated to the electrically energized (i.e. switched “on”) state.
