  • Publication number: 20180115500
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to a network entity on a ring network. In an example, a method includes receiving a first packet by a first network entity via a ring network. It is determined from the first packet that the ring network has a plurality of management entities each claiming a respective network entity. Based on the ring network having the plurality of management entities each claiming the respective network entity, the first network entity is transitioned from an unclaimed state to a dummyclaim state, and the first network entity is isolated from a portion of the ring network.

  • Publication number: 20180052475
Abstract: The valve includes a casing arrangeable so the fluid in the passage flows over an outer side. The valve includes a piston axially slidably positionable within the casing, and the axial position regulates the fluid pressure in the poppet valve passage downstream, an annular clearance between the piston and casing. The valve includes a dynamic seal between the piston and casing to seal the annular clearance end. The valve includes a piston chamber located on the dynamic seal opposing side of the annular clearance so a leakage flow may cross the dynamic seal between the annular clearance and piston chamber. The fluid pressure in the piston chamber varies the axial position within the casing. A diversion path formed in the casing diverts fluid for the leakage flow into the annular clearance from the fluid flow in the passage, the diversion path having filter to filter debris from the diverted fluid.

  • Publication number: 20170334627
Abstract: A plug for a pouch assembly, wherein the plug includes a top wall, an inner axial skirt and an outer axial skirt. The inner axial skirt depends from the top wall in a direction opposite the top wall. The inner axial skirt includes an inner surface, an outer surface, an upper end and a lower end. The outer axial skirt includes an inner surface and an outer surface, an upper end proximate the top wall and a lower end spaced apart therefrom. A seal bead is positioned on the inner surface of the outer axial skirt spaced apart from the upper end. The seal bead extends inwardly toward the inner axial skirt. The plug is attachable to the spout of the pouch. The seal bead is structurally configured to hermetically seal against the spout, while precluding sealed engagement between the inner axial skirt and the spout.

  • Publication number: 20170288975
Abstract: Examples associated with ring network uplink designation are disclosed. One example includes detecting an operable connection between a member of a ring network and an external network. The operable connection may be detected by the member of the ring network. A signal is provided to a ring network management daemon. The signal may indicate the member of the ring network has the operable connection to the external network. A signal is received from the ring network management daemon. The signal may designate the ring network as an active uplink to the external network. The operable connection between the ring network and the external network is activated. Once activated, the operable connection may facilitate communication between members of the ring network and the external network.

  • Patent number: 9282054
Abstract: A method and system for determining an active management uplink including adjusting a bridge priority value, based on connectivity conditions, to lower the value of a bridge ID stored in a memory region of a network module. The method and system to also identify a network module as a root network module if it has a lower bridge ID than all other stacked network modules. The bridge ID of a network module may be based on the bridge priority value and a MAC address stored in a memory region of the network module. • Publication number: 20160007956
Abstract: Imaging devices for identification of target regions are generally described. Medical ultrasound is a popular medical imaging modality primarily used for diagnostic imaging of soft tissue but also for interventional procedures such as guidance of a needle or catheter placement. Examples include diagnostic imaging of organs, such cardiac or liver strictures. Common interventional procedures that rely on ultrasound guidance are central line placement and guidance of nerve blocks, both of which are high volume procedures in certain hospital settings such as the intensive care unit (ICU).

  • Publication number: 20130302358
Abstract: Monodisperse particles having: a single pure crystalline phase of a rare earth-containing lattice, a uniform three-dimensional size, and a uniform polyhedral morphology are disclosed. Due to their uniform size and shape, the monodisperse particles self assemble into superlattices. The particles may be luminescent particles such as down-converting phosphor particles and up-converting phosphors. The monodisperse particles of the invention have a rare earth-containing lattice which in one embodiment may be an yttrium-containing lattice or in another may be a lanthanide-containing lattice. The monodisperse particles may have different optical properties based on their composition, their size, and/or their morphology (or shape).

  • Patent number: 8248207
Abstract: A container has a lid and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a male wall with a switch. A female wall mounts to the inside wall of the container and, when closed, encompasses the male wall. The female wall has a magnet that activates the switch. A lever contained inside the male wall moves into and out of a slot formed in the female wall. The switch completes a circuit that generates a close signal to the lever when the lid is closed. A button extends through a hole in the lid such that the button can be depressed to indicate locking and cannot be depressed when unlocked. When unlocked, the button cannot be depressed because the lever blocks the button. To open the container when closed, the actuation mechanism moves the lever in response to an entered code that must match a stored code or calculated content-specific code.
