    Abstract: A portable film-image-digitizing scanner with a hidden image-displaying screen includes a machine body and an image-processing device. A picture-taking lens is set inside the said body and a backlight mechanism is set under the base brace. Film insert-laying grooves are set at two sides of the body to provide an insertion from one side for a film clip. And, the image-processing device includes several control buttons, a memory card slot and a cover plate set with the hidden image-displaying screen (TFT-LCD, thin film transistor liquid crystal display). The film clip can fix and set the films inside it and position them on top of the backlight mechanism. The film images are accessed by using the picture-taking lens, and transformed into digitizing data through the image-processing device. The images can then be displayed on the image-displaying screen directly for a direct editing or modifying, or be wire-transferred to TV (television) for displaying.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a method and device for case-based decision support. It proposes that a case-based decision support system is trained on inputs from several radiologists in order to have a “baseline” system, and then the system provides an option to a radiologist to refine the baseline system based on his/her inputs which either refine weights of features for similarity distance computation directly or provide new similarity ground truth clusters. By enabling modifying the similarity distance computation based on user inputs, this invention adapts similarity ground truth to different users with different experience and/or different opinions.

    Abstract: A computer system with power source control and a power source control method are presented. The computer system at least includes a first storage unit and a second storage unit, and the first storage unit stores a system program required by the computer system in basic operation. A switch is disposed on a power supply path between a power supply module and the second storage unit, such that the power supply module provides an electric power for the second storage unit to operate through the switch. When the second storage unit is in an idle state, the switch is used to cut off the power supply to the second storage unit, so as to effectively reduce the power consumption of the computer system.

    Abstract: A cover assembly for a Lithium-ion battery container to improve the durability of the battery. A high pressure injection molded polymer is combined with flanges disposed on the current collecting posts of the battery to provide an improved seal for the battery cover, especially at the interface of the cover and the current collecting posts. The injection molded polymer is fused to the flanges, current collecting posts and container cover to result in a diffusion path of increased length for gases and/or liquids which are known to enter or escape from battery containers. Additional polymer layers can be applied to the assembly to further improve the seal.

    Abstract: A method is used for adjusting a tilt of an optical pickup head. The method includes: identifying initial coordinates of the first static spot, the second static spot, and the dynamic spot in an image generated from three reflected light beams from the optical pickup head; turning one of the adjustable screws a predetermined calibrated rotation angle; recording current coordinates of the first static spot, the second static spot, and the dynamic spot in another image generated from three reflected light beams from the optical pickup head; calculating a total needed rotation angle of the one adjustable screw according to the initial coordinates, the predetermined calibrated rotation angle, and the current coordinates; and turning the one adjustable screw a remaining rotation angle computed by subtracting the predetermined calibrated rotation angle from the total needed rotation angle. An adjusting system is also disclosed.

The display panel has a color filter layer which consists of a plurality of color resists above the backlight module. Lights from the backlight module pass through the color resists and out of the display panel to form an output light. A NTSC saturation of the output light may be greater or smaller than 60%, and a CIE standard illuminant C test result of the color resists may correspondingly fall into different predetermined scopes to prevent color shift and maintain brightness of the display device.

The method includes the steps of: capturing a plurality of images; converting the images to bitmap images; superposing the bitmap images together to form an superimposed bitmap image; setting a two-dimensional coordinating system of the superimposed bitmap image; determining coordinates of a first static spot, a second static spot, and dynamic spot; calculating a first distance between the first static spot and the dynamic spot, and a second distance between the second static spot and the dynamic spot based on the coordinates to determine a maximum distance; and comparing the maximum distance with a first standard distance to attain a conclusion whether the tilt is in an acceptable range.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to dual shallow trench isolations (STI). In various embodiments related to CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) technologies, the dual STI refers to one STI structure in the pixel region and another STI structure in the periphery or logic region. The depth of each STI structure depends on the need and/or isolation tolerance of devices in each region. In an embodiment, the pixel region uses NMOS devices and the STI in this region is shallower than that of in the periphery region that includes both NMOS and PMOS device having different P- and N-wells and that desire more protective isolation (i.e., deeper STI). Depending on implementations, different numbers of masks (e.g., two, three) are used to generate the dual STI, and are disclosed in various method embodiments.
