    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of fabricating an image sensor device, such as a BSI image sensor, and so-fabricated image sensor, in which undesired neutralization of charges in BARC layers caused by opposite charges in metal shield grounds is prevented to reduce dark current and enhance device performance. The image sensor comprises a substrate having a plurality of radiation sensors formed adjacent its front surface, a first insulation layer formed over the back surface of the substrate, a BARC layer formed over the first insulation layer, a metal grid disposed over the BARC layer, one or more metal grounds extending from the metal ground into the substrate for grounding purpose, and a sidewall insulating layer disposed between the sidewall of each metal ground and the surrounding BARC layer. The sidewall insulating layer electrically insulates the metal grounds from the surrounding BARC layer.

    Abstract: A system and method for fabricating a 3D image sensor structure is disclosed. The method comprises providing an image sensor with a backside illuminated photosensitive region on a substrate, applying a first dielectric layer to the first side of the substrate opposite the substrate side where image data is gathered, and applying a semiconductor layer that is optionally polysilicon, to the first dielectric layer. A least one control transistor may be created on the first dielectric layer, within the semiconductor layer and may optionally be a row select, reset or source follower transistor. An intermetal dielectric may be applied over the first dielectric layer; and may have at least one metal interconnect disposed therein. A second interlevel dielectric layer may be disposed on the control transistors. The dielectric layers and semiconductor layer may be applied by bonding a wafer to the substrate or via deposition.

    Abstract: A nitride semiconductor structure and a semiconductor light emitting device including the same are revealed. The nitride semiconductor structure mainly includes a stress control layer disposed between a light emitting layer and a p-type carrier blocking layer. The p-type carrier blocking layer is made from AlxGa1?xN (0<x<1) while the stress control layer is made from AlxInyGa1?x?yN (0<x<1, 0<y<1, 0<x+y<1). The light emitting layer has a multiple quantum well structure formed by a plurality of well layers and barrier layers stacked alternately. There is one well layer disposed between the two barrier layers. Thereby the stress control layer not only improves crystal quality degradation caused by lattice mismatch between the p-type carrier blocking layer and the light emitting layer but also reduces effects of compressive stress on the well layer caused by material differences.

The black matrix layer is disposed on the substrate between each two adjacent grooves, wherein the black matrix layer extends to the region above the groove from the edge of the groove and an undercut profile forms between the bottom of black matrix and the substrate. The color filter layer including a plurality of filter films separated is filled in the plurality of grooves and the plurality of filter films is separated from each other by the black matrix layer. In addition, a method of fabricating a color filter substrate is also provided. The above-mentioned color filter substrate and the fabricating method thereof can improve the quality and color uniformity of the color filter substrate.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for enhancing contrast of a color image displayed on a display system and an image processing system utilizing the same. In the present invention, the gray values of R, G, and B components of one color image are separately counted during processing the image. When calculating the corresponding output values for the gray values of R, G, and B components in each pixel, they are adapted to ratios between the gray values of R, G, and B components. Therefore, the present invention can effectively maintain the color distribution for a considerable degree and greatly enhance the image contrast.

The timing controller obtains an aggregation value of absolute values of the difference values, and then provides a related control signal to the voltage generator according to whether the aggregation value reaches a threshold value. Absolute locations of the reflection devices and the range are calculated by a processor according to the coordinate location and the direction of the movable platform, the relative positions and the distances between the reflection devices and the movable platform. The reflection devices are scanned and tracked by the processor, and the coordinate location and the direction of the movable platform and the absolute locations are calibrated by the processor to control the movable platform to move in the range.
