  • Publication number: 20200240628
Abstract: A burner includes a distal flame holder, first and second fuel nozzles, a fuel and oxidant source, and a mixing tube disposed upstream from the distal flame holder. Fuel emitted from the first fuel nozzle mixes with oxidant from the oxidant source to form a fuel and oxidant mixture to support combustion in the distal flame holder. A non-reactive fluid source such as recirculated flue gas provides a non-reactive fluid for dilution of the fuel and oxidant mixture to prevent flashback.

  • Patent number: 10702888
Abstract: There is disclosed an acoustic transducer for communications within an operational bandwidth, the transducer comprising: A signal generator for generating a signal at a centre-frequency within the operational bandwidth; A piezoelectric element having a dielectric constant that varies with temperature; A driving electrode at the surface of the piezoelectric element; A matching network, having a natural frequency at a given temperature, and operable to transfer the signal from the signal generator to the piezoelectric element whilst mitigating electrical loss, the matching network being connected to the driving electrode; Wherein the matching network comprises a temperature compensating capacitor connected in parallel with the piezoelectric element, the temperature compensating capacitor being for counteracting temperature-induced changes to the dielectric constant of the piezoelectric element such that the electrical natural frequency of the transducer is substantially constant over a range of temperatures.

  • Patent number: 10698896
Abstract: A system for query optimization by a federation engine is provided. When a data source supports a target feature of an expression of a query in the common query language, the system executes a converter for the data source to convert the target feature to the corresponding feature of the data source query language. The system then submits to the data source a query with the expression with the converted target feature so that the expression is evaluated at the data source and receives query results. When a data source does not support the target feature of the expression, the system submits to the data source a query without the expression and evaluates the expression on the query results returned by the data source. The system then combines the query results based on the evaluation of the expression as the query results of the query.

  • Patent number: 10690646
Abstract: An underwater camera and water quality monitoring system provides the capability of shooting video or time lapse photography together with recording water condition or quality measurements in an integrated device for stationary, submerged deployment in a body of water under study. The underwater camera and water quality monitoring system has a configurable delay from submerged deployment in the waterway until image/video recording and water quality measurement sampling begins, allowing aquatic life activity to resume in the vicinity after disruption of the system deployment. The monitoring device may be used in combination with recognition software utilizing artificial intelligence techniques to identify species or individuals observed during monitoring.

  • Publication number: 20200040722
Abstract: A well advisor system and console for monitoring and managing pressure testing operations at a well site. The system may be accessed through one or more workstations, or other computing devices, which may be located at a well site or remotely. The system is in communication with and receives input from various sensors. It collects real-time sensor data sampled during operations at the well site. The system processes the data, and provides nearly instantaneous numerical and visual feedback through a variety of graphical user interfaces (“GUIs”), which are presented in the form of an operation-specific console. The input and data provides information related to pressure testing at a well site.

  • Patent number: 10521496
Abstract: Network resources are subject to automated downloading of information by automated-agents that cause business- or user-specific data to be compiled en masse. In order to control resources and information available to automated-agents, markup documents or elements of markup documents are obfuscated such that a client must reconfigure the obfuscated information in order to display the requested content contained in the document. The obfuscation is applied such that the content will render and display to a human user in the same manner as if the element was untransformed; however, the markup will appear syntactically different to an automated-agent. Thus, in response to a user request, a server can transform elements of a structured document and provide the transformed document to the client for reconfiguring and rendering.

  • Publication number: 20190309246
Abstract: A flow passage (70) is shown in the form of two successively linked, substantially parallel, adjacent, open top channels (12A, 14A) to form part of an algae cultivation system. The forward flow of the water passes in sequence through the respective open top channels (12A) and (14A) of flow passage (70), in the direction of arrow ‘A’ and then is then recirculated back into to the channel (12A), and so on. The combination of added nutrients, sunlight and agitation of the fluid flow encourages the growth cultivation of the biological organisms which are continually suspended in the flowing water. Such a flow passage (70) can be used as a standalone passage used as part of a system for cultivation of biological organisms, or it can also form one basic unit of a modular system which is arranged in use to have several such flow passages linked together in use. Such a reconfigurable apparatus gives the user the flexibility to cultivate different algae products both separately and simultaneously.
