Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for managing encryption keys by a mobile communication terminal connected to a smartcard that stores the encryption keys. The mobile communication terminal receives and stores encrypted multimedia data, extracts recording key information corresponding to an encryption key from the received multimedia data, determines whether the extracted recording key information has been previously stored in a recording key database, and maps the extracted recording key information to identification information of the received multimedia data and stores mapping data therebetween in the recording key database when the extracted recording key information has not been previously stored in the recording key database.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving Electronic Service Guide (ESG) data in a digital video broadcasting system. The method includes creating ESG data bursts by grouping ESG data supporting a plurality of languages for each ESG support language; establishing sessions corresponding to respective ESG data bursts; creating ESG setting data including session information and ESG grouping criteria information, the session information including Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and port numbers corresponding to the entire sessions, respectively, the ESG grouping criteria information indicating that the ESG data bursts are grouped for each ESG support language; and broadcasting the ESG setting data via a specific session and broadcasting the ESG data bursts via the established sessions.

Abstract: A terrestrial DMB receiver using an imaginary channel in a terrestrial DMB system is disclosed. The terrestrial DMB receiver includes: a key input unit for receiving an input from a user; a display unit for providing image output to the user; an imaginary channel storage unit for storing information on imaginary channels designated to each broadcasting service by the user; a DMB receiving unit for receiving terrestrial DMB broadcasting; a MCI/SI analyzer for analyzing MCI and SI of FIC information from a DMB broadcasting signal received through the DMB receiving unit; and a controller for searching for the imaginary channel storage unit according to values of number keys input from the key input unit, extracting service IDs, controlling the DMB receiving unit to select broadcasting services according to the extracted service IDs, checking the information analyzed through the MCI/SI analyzer, and performing an update for the imaginary channel storage unit.

Abstract: Provided is a method of efficiently processing a Short-Term Key Message (STKM) in the mobile broadcast supporting the mobile terminal. A structure of a response message according to processing the STKM in the smart card is also provided. In particular, a variety of information necessary for reproducing in the player is included in the response message and delivered to the mobile terminal, thereby the mobile terminal can easily obtain the desired information through the response message. Therefore, when the STKM is processed in the mobile terminal, there is no need to process operations except for a resending check, and the information does not need to be stored separately.

Abstract: Disclosed are a digital broadcasting system and a method for transmitting and receiving electronic service guide data in a digital broadcasting system, which communicates applications capable of executing content files downloaded through a file download service. The digital broadcasting system includes a digital broadcasting transmitter for broadcasting Electronic Service Guide (ESG) data which includes application information corresponding to respective content files, and a digital broadcasting receiver for receiving the broadcasted ESG data and executing applications corresponding to the respective content files by using the application information included in the ESG data.

Abstract: A method and a terminal for recording a broadcast stream so that, when the recorded broadcast stream is reproduced, a viewing restriction is placed. The method includes receiving a broadcast stream transmitted in real time and a message containing viewer rating information, and storing the viewer rating information together with the broadcast stream as a media file of a particular file at a broadcast stream recording request. When the stored broadcast stream is reproduced, the same viewing restriction is placed as when the broadcast is watched in real time.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and a digital broadcasting system for transmitting and receiving an Electronic Service Guide (ESG). When there are ESG fragments to be transmitted through a communication network among ESG fragments included in ESG data, a digital broadcast transmitter generates an ESG data session such that the ESG data session may include route information through the communication network of the relevant ESG fragments. Then, the digital broadcast transmitter transmits the generated ESG data session to a broadcast receiving terminal, which obtains the route information through the communication network of the relevant ESG fragments. Accordingly, a user can more easily and conveniently receive the ESG data by using the route information through the communication network obtained by the broadcast receiving terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for efficiently providing a multi-content, including a plurality of contents in one service, by means of a service guide upon providing the multi-content in an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) mobile broadcasting system. When a broadcast transmitting apparatus provides a broadcast receiving apparatus with a multi-content by inserting a plurality of content into one service, the broadcast transmitting apparatus sets one of the plurality of content as a primary content, and provides a service guide including primary-content setting information to the broadcast receiving apparatus. The primary content represents a content set to be primarily provided to a user, among a plurality of content included in one service and simultaneously provided during a specific time period. The primary-content setting information represents information for identifying the primary content. The primary-content setting information may be included in a content fragment or schedule fragment of a service guide.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for configuring a message for controlling purchase service in wireless broadcasting. When a portable terminal directly uses a corresponding service through registration without a process for purchasing a charged broadcasting service, the portable terminal directly receives a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) User ServiceID, and it is impossible to separate a GlobalPurchaseItemID and a PurchaseDataID from each other. Therefore, a purchase service list can not be known. However, according to the method herein, it is possible to separate two identifiers from each other in the portable terminal, so that it is possible to conveniently control each list regarding various types of purchased services.

Abstract: A terminal can acquire information required for an image configuration by accessing actual Electronic Service Guide (ESG) information using linking information when broadcast providers transmit Lightweight Application Scene Representation (LASeR) content including the linking information related to the LASeR content and the ESG information provided in a Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld (DVB-H) Convergence of Broadcast and Mobile Services (CBMS), Open Mobile Alliance Broadcasting (OMA-BCAST) or Open Air Interface (OAI) standard. The broadcast providers can directly control a configuration of a broadcast image to be displayed on the terminal, such that differentiated broadcast images can be provided on a broadcast provider-by-broadcast provider basis.

Abstract: A method of providing a broadcast data service in a Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld (DVB-H) system and a system therefore is provided. The system includes a broadcast service providing server for inserting at least one of application type information and application execution information into an acquisition fragment of an Electronic Service Guide (ESG) and transmitting the ESG, and a broadcast receiving terminal for receiving the ESG and determining the application type information and application execution information contained in the acquisition fragment when the broadcast data service is provided.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and a method for providing a terminal with a notification message reporting changes of a system and of a service in the middle of a Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld (DVB-H) broadcasting service. The system inserts channel information related to the transmission of the notification message into Electronic Service Guide (ESG) service fragment or ESG acquisition fragment, then transmits the inserted channel information, or specifies a notification session for a session to transmit the session. In this manner, the channel information related to the notification message can be transmitted to a terminal through an ESG, and the terminal acquires the channel information related to the notification message from the received ESG to receive the notification message by using the channel information.

Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and a method for displaying file download information in a Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) terminal. The method includes receiving an Electronic Service Guide (ESG) data stream containing information regarding downloadable files, analyzing the downloadable file information in the ESG data stream, storing the downloadable file information in the memory module, and if a file download service is selected by a user, displaying the downloadable file information on the display unit, if downloading of at least one file is selected, examining download-related information using the stored file information corresponding to each file when the selected files are downloaded, and creating a download file list containing each file name and the download-related information examined corresponding to each file and displaying the download file list on a screen.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of notifying reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform in a Digital Video Broadcasting DVB system. This method requires a Program Map Table (PMT) including a warning data field for representing reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform and a time data field for representing the time of the reconfiguration. The DVB receiving terminal periodically monitors the PMT to prepare for the reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform. Thus the DVB receiving terminal provides the DVB services to the user without interruption.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and a method for offering a digital video broadcasting service, and for offering multiple sub-services connected with a main service simultaneously with the main service while offering a DVB-H service.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for providing a similar broadcasting service in a DVB-H system. The method includes: configuring and broadcasting Electric Service Guide (ESG) data including service linking information in which a DVB-H transmission server including data and access information about at least one linked service set in a certain DVB-H service; and receiving and storing the ESG data by a DVB-H reception terminal, detecting service linking information corresponding to a DVB-H service during reception from the ESG data if a reception intensity of signals is less than a preset reference value during reception of the DVB-H service, stopping reception of the DVB-H service being currently received, and receiving a linked service included in the service linking information with reference to the detected service linking information.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and a system for broadcasting an Electronic Service Guide (ESG) for digital broadcasting, which includes predetermined change information, when important information of the ESG is changed in a digital video broadcasting system. A digital broadcasting apparatus broadcasts an ESG that includes current information data and predetermined change information through a broadcasting communication network. A digital broadcasting reception terminal receives and stores the broadcasted ESG, provides a digital broadcast service based on the current information data of the ESG and provides a digital broadcast service based on the stored predetermined change information data after a prescheduled ESG change time point.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a bearing assembly capable of assuring mechanical strength and reducing a friction coefficient and stress concentration, and a method for manufacturing the same. The present invention comprises a spherical journal and a hemispherical bearing that is made of a fiber reinforced composite and has a bearing surface for establishing a spherical pair with the spherical journal. The fiber reinforced composite can be constructed by arranging a uni-directional prepreg, woven fiber prepregs and staple-fiber prepregs in a variety of configurations, and thermoplastic resin particles or self-lubrication particles are uniformly provided on the bearing surface. It is possible to alleviate stress concentration generated on the bearing surface by forming a plurality of air channels capable of imparting directivity on an outer surface of the hemispherical bearing.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for providing heterogeneous services using a PIP function in a terrestrial DMB receiver. The method includes: a first step of receiving a key input for activating the PIP function and displaying a list of services in an available ensemble during use of a desired DMB service; a second step of selecting a desired item in the list of services; a third step of identifying if the desired item selected at the second step is an “exchange” function and identifying if PIP function of the terrestrial DMB receiver is activated when the selected item is the “exchange” function; a fourth step of exchanging a service of a main screen for a service of a PIP screen, when it is identified that the PIP function is activated at the third step; and a fifth step of identifying if the desired item selected at the second step is the “exchange” function and displaying the selected item on the PIP screen when the selected item is not the “exchange” function.
