  • Patent number: 11122785
Abstract: The invention is a system comprising a wire cage trap and wire-cage enclosed lifting subsystem. The two systems are attached and submerged together. When ready to be retrieved, a sound control signal is conveyed to the system. The sound control signal is converted to an electric control signal, which enables inflation of a buoyancy bladder and bringing the wire-cage trap and wire-cage lifting subsystems to the surface. The invention may comprise sensors in the lifting system which can provide information about valve on-off state, gas pressure, depth and location. That information is converted from electric to sound signals and generated through the water.

  • Publication number: 20210247936
Abstract: Devices and techniques for an adjustable watchdog in a memory device are disclosed herein. A memory operation command is received at a first time with a memory device from a host. A reset signal is received, with the memory device from the host, at a second time following the first time. A time interval between the first time and the second time is measured. A delay interval for a timer in the memory device to reset the memory device independently of receiving a further reset signal from the host is established based on the measured time interval.

  • Publication number: 20210233593
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, memory devices, and machine-readable mediums which increase read throughput by introducing a delay prior to issuing a command to increase the chances that read commands can be executed in parallel. Upon receipt of a read command, if there are no other read commands in the command queue for a given portion (e.g., plane or plane group) of the die, the controller can delay issuing the read command for a delay period using a timer. If, during the delay period, an eligible read command is received, the delayed command and the newly received command are both issued in parallel using a multi-plane read. If no eligible read command is received during the delay period, the read command is issued after the delay period expires.

  • Patent number: 11074177
Abstract: Systems and methods for adapting garbage collection (GC) operations in a memory device to a host write activity are described. A host write progress can be represented by an actual host write count relative to a target host write count. The host write activity may be estimated in a unit time such as per day, or accumulated over a specified time period. A memory controller can adjust an amount of memory space to be freed by a GC operation according to the host write progress. The memory controller can also dynamically reallocate a portion of the memory cells between a single level cell (SLC) cache and a multi-level cell (MLC) storage according to the host write progress.

  • Publication number: 20210200631
Abstract: A storage device includes a memory storage region and a controller having a processor. The processor retrieves user data from the memory storage region using a physical block address corresponding to a logical block address (LBA), in response to a read command. The retrieved user data includes a first hash received through a host interface in a prior host data transmission. The processor further performs error correction on the user data to generate error-corrected user data. The processor further causes a cryptographic engine to produce a second hash of the error-corrected user data. The first hash is compared to the second hash associated with the error-corrected user data to determine a match result. A notification is generated in response to the match result.

  • Patent number: 11046605
Abstract: Random copolymers from itaconic acid and/or isomers and sodium alkenyl sulfonates are obtained by polymerization in an aqueous solution via free radicals at an acidic pH in the range from 1.0 to 3.5 and with a redox system as initiator were described. The copolymers can be used as calcium carbonate and calcium, strontium and barium sulfates mineral scale inhibitors and as dispersants of clays, iron oxides, calcium carbonate and strontium, barium and calcium sulfates. Random copolymers prevent and control damage in an oil reservoir, obstruction of water injection and crude oil production pipelines, and in production rigs due to mineral scale precipitation caused by high levels of salinity of the injection water and formation water. Random copolymers are tolerant to high concentrations of divalent ions, such as calcium, magnesium, strontium and barium, and can be added to the reservoir and to injection or production pipelines, treated water, sea water and water that is used as means of transportation.

  • Patent number: 11042877
Abstract: A method of performing a fund transfer at an ATM includes receiving an active authentication transaction key at an ATM from a mobile financial transaction instrument via a wireless communication protocol, generating a PIN at the ATM, and storing the PIN in a machine readable storage medium. An authorization request message is transmitted to a financial institution identified by the active authentication transaction key. The authorization request message includes the PIN and at least a portion of the active authentication transaction key. The PIN is received from a user of the mobile financial transaction instrument, and the funds are dispensed in response to receiving the PIN.

  • Patent number: 11018866
Abstract: A server sends information to a client that allows the client to establish a first key at the client. The server then receives a session ID that has been encrypted using the first key. The first key is then established at the server, which can then decrypt the session ID using the first key. After the server validates the session ID, it determines a second key that is different from the first key. The server then receives the session ID encrypted with the second key, and decrypts the session ID encrypted with the second key.

  • Publication number: 20210141570
Abstract: Devices and techniques for host adaptive memory device optimization are provided. A memory device can maintain a host model of interactions with a host. A set of commands from the host can be evaluated to create a profile of the set of commands. The profile can be compared to the host model to determine an inconsistency between the profile and the host model. An operation of the memory device can then be modified based on the inconsistency.

  • Patent number: 11004987
Abstract: Methods of fabricating a solar cell, and system for electrically coupling solar cells, are described. In an example, the methods for fabricating a solar cell can include placing conductive wires in a wire guide, where conductive wires are placed over a first semiconductor substrate having first doped regions and second doped regions. The method can include aligning the conductive wires over the first and second doped regions, where the wire guide aligns the conductive wires substantially parallel to the first and second doped regions. The method can include bonding the conductive wires to the first and second doped regions. The bonding can include applying a mechanical force to the semiconductor substrate via a roller or bonding head of the wire guide, where the wire guide inhibits lateral movement of the conductive wires during the bonding.

  • Patent number: 10997071
Abstract: Devices and techniques for enhanced flush transfer efficiency in a storage device are described herein. A flush trigger for a user data write can be identified. Here, user data corresponds to the user data write and was stored in a buffer. The size of the user data stored in the buffer is smaller than a write width for a storage device subject to the write. The difference ins the user data size in the buffer and the write width is buffer free space. Additional data can be marshalled in response to the identification of the flush trigger. Here, the additional data size is less than or equal to the buffer free space. The user data and the additional data can then be written to the storage device.

  • Publication number: 20210124530
Abstract: Devices and techniques for host timeout avoidance in a memory device are disclosed herein. A memory device command is received with a memory device from a host. A determination is made, with the memory device, of a host timeout interval associated with the received memory device command. A tinier of the memory device is initialized to monitor a time interval from receipt of the memory device command. After partially performing the memory device command, a response to the host before the memory device timer interval reaches the host timeout interval is generated by the memory device.
