  • Publication number: 20060156401
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing data security scanning in a network. A network device ascertains, based on a network's security policy, security technologies that are should or must be applied to the network traffic. The network device applies the not yet applied security technologies, based on a determination that the not yet applied security technologies are available to the network device. Next, the network device tags the network traffic with a security marker indicating the not yet applied security technologies as applied to reflect the security technologies applied to the network traffic.

  • Publication number: 20060118906
Abstract: A high power RF IC capable of impeding parasitic current loss and method of manufacturing the same. First a step of semiconductor front-side processing for the high power RF components that includes inductive components is performed. Afterwards, the backside of semiconductor base is polished to a certain thickness, and then lithography and etching processes is employed for forming a backside trench contact window. A backside deposition for oxide insulation layer can be performed so that the oxide insulation layer can be located in the semiconductor base right under the inductive components for impeding the parasitic current loss generated by the inductive components in the semiconductor base due to electromagnetic induction. Therefore, performance of the inductive components operating in high frequency can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20060023894
Abstract: A dry/wet bit for controlling dry and wet components of an output sound during processing of an input sound is provided. The bit is configurable by a program to indicate when to reverse the dry and wet components of the output sound. When the bit has a first value, the dry component is calculated by modifying the input sound by an attenuation factor, and the wet component is calculated by providing to a reverberation filter as input the dry component modified by a reverberation factor. When the bit has a second value, the wet component is calculated by providing to the reverberation filter as input the input sound modified by the attenuation factor, and the dry component is calculated by modifying the input to the reverberation filter by the reverberation factor.

  • Publication number: 20050234933
Abstract: Data is retrieved from a linked-list by locking the linked-list, retrieving data from an element in the linked-list, advancing to a subsequent element in the linked-list while a breakpoint is not encountered and marking the subsequent element as “in-use” when a breakpoint is encountered. A reference to the subsequent element is then created before the linked-list is unlocked.

  • Patent number: 6918113
Abstract: A client installation and execution system for streamed applications requires the user or administrator to obtain a subscription to the streamed application program from a subscription server before installation of the streamed application program begins. The client then obtains an encrypted access token for the streamed application program from a license server upon acknowledgment of a valid license, receives an installation information block from the server, and installs the proper icons, aliases, and description onto the client that give the user the proper look and feel of the original application program. A file spoofer is installed on the client that redirects file accesses from the client's local file system to the streaming server's file system. A registry spoofer is provided on the client for intercepting all registry calls on the client and redirecting calls that manipulate certain registries to an alternate path specified in a registry database on the client.

  • Publication number: 20050100050
Abstract: A scalable QAM system and communication method. High-level. QAM signals are broadcast from a transmitter. The transmitter comprises a scalable frame structure in a MAC layer and a bitmap method in a physical layer transmitting modulated signals with data distributed in different bit positions. Each client determines whether to demodulate all the received data on the bit plane or only a portion of the data in certain bit positions according to the transmission quality (SNR) of the received signal, in order to acquire a lower bit error rate and improve the efficiency of the transmission bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20050040161
Abstract: Microwaveable food package and method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The package comprises an airtight food region, a reversible vapor pressure regulating region, and a passage at a junction between both regions. The passage is airtight sealed in a nonoperating state. Whereby heating the food region with a foodstuff contained therein will increase a vapor pressure in the food region, swell the food region, open up the passage, direct hot steam to the pressure regulating region from the food region via the passage for releasing excessive pressure, swell the pressure regulating region, and cause hot steam to be automatically regulated by the pressure regulating region. Further, after heating stops, the cooling process will cause both swelled regions to contract, and return both regions to their original states. The package can be a container or bag.

  • Patent number: 6567389
Abstract: For improving data transmission over the radio path between a mobile station and a base station in a mobile telecommunications system, a divider splits a data signal whose speed is higher than the maximum data transfer rate in one frame, into at least two signals of lower speed before transmission over the radio path. The mobile station is allocated at least two traffic channels for the high-speed data transmission so that each of the signals of lower speed is transmitted over the radio path in its respective traffic channel. A combiner combines the signals of lower speed received over the radio path, to reconstitute the original signal at the receiving end.
