  • Patent number: 8468606
Abstract: A security device may receive information relating to a security event in a customer network. The security device may further determine, in response to receiving the information, a likelihood score that reflects a likelihood that the security event will succeed and an impact score that provides an indication of an impact that the security event will have on the customer network. The security device may also determine a risk score based on the likelihood score and the impact score, where the risk score provides an indication of a risk that the security event will affect the customer network. The security device may provide the risk score to a customer associated with the customer network.

  • Publication number: 20120324807
Abstract: A shingle insert and method for eliminating and preventing growths on a shingled roof in which a porous copper mesh is installed with an upper edge beneath a course of shingles with the remaining portions of the insert exposed. A confined space is defined beneath a lengthwise hump in the exposed copper strip portions which is filled with a growth toxic material, in solid or granular form which releases a substance toxic to the growths when rainwater runoff passes into the confined space and material and thereafter flows out down the roof.

  • Patent number: 8310211
Abstract: An auto-regulated motion power system apparatus that may be used to generate usable electricity from disparate energy sources includes a combination of a variable frequency alternator driven by a primary mover and coupled to a load. An energy control module includes a closed-loop feedback system coupled to a pulse width modulation controller and a switch mode rectifier. The alternator has a modulated control signal input having the ability to vary in frequency and voltage with an output having a controlled voltage and varying frequency. The switch mode rectifier accepts variable AC voltages from the alternator and outputs a constant predetermined DC voltage both to one side of the windings of the alternator and to a first side of a high frequency switch. An output on the pulse width modulation generator is connected to a switch control so that when the switch is closed, current flows through the windings of the alternator and when the switch is open, no current flows through the windings.

  • Patent number: 8171717
Abstract: A coordinated air-fuel controller and associated method provide a fuel controller, a combustion air controller and a steady-state air versus fuel model. The fuel controller generates a fuel control output signal and the combustion air controller generates a combustion air control output signal. The fuel controller determines a preliminary fuel control signal based on at least one of first and second loop control signals, and determines the fuel control output signal based on the preliminary fuel control signal. The steady-state air versus fuel model processes the preliminary fuel control signal to determine an expected steady-state combustion air control signal. The combustion air controller determines a preliminary combustion air control signal based on at least one of a third loop control signal and a fourth loop control signal, and determines the combustion air control output signal based on the preliminary combustion air control signal and the expected steady-state combustion air control signal.
