The electrical connector assembly includes a housing having a top wall and a bottom wall that is opposite the top wall. The housing includes a mating face having ports that are configured to receive the electrical plugs therein. A jack sub-assembly is held by the housing. The jack sub-assembly includes jacks having electrical contacts held within the ports for engagement with the electrical plugs. The jack sub-assembly includes a signal pin array having signal pins for connection to a host circuit board. The signal pin array includes a front side extending along the bottom wall of the housing. An electrically conductive outer shield covers the top wall of the housing. The outer shield includes a bottom flap covering an end of the bottom wall of the housing. An electrically conductive bottom shield covers the bottom wall of the housing between the bottom flap of the outer shield and the front side of the signal pin array.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for forming an output impulse response function. The method includes the steps of creating an initial impulse response, and dividing the impulse response into a head portion and a tail portion. The tail portion is high pass filtered, and low frequency components of the head portion are boosted. The low frequency boosted and high pass filtered respective head and tail portions are then combined into a modified output impulse response, which can then be used to spatialize an audio signal by convolving it.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly is disclosed which includes a housing; and a plurality of substantially identical contact assemblies each including a pair of electrical contacts with receptacle contact portions configured to be received by the housing. The plurality of contact assemblies are arranged in sequence in a linear array in the housing, and in alternating first and second orientations. The second orientation is a reverse orientation with respect to the first orientation. The substantially identical electrical contact assemblies each include a first electrical contact and a second electrical contact and a receptacle contact portion in electrical communication with the edge connector portion. The edge connector portions are substantially a mirror image while the receptacle contact portions are substantially slide-along images of each other. A method of manufacturing is also disclosed for the electrical contact assemblies.

The contacts are provided on the mounting side of the connector substrate and are used to electrically couple the electronic component with the device substrate. The wires are joined to the electronic component and to the contacts. The wires extend along the supporting and mounting sides and wrap around the edge of the connector substrate. The conductive wires are separated from one another by a separation gap along the supporting side and the mounting side of the connector substrate.

Abstract: An information aggregation and synthesization system and process. The present invention provides aggregation and packaging of structured or unstructured information from disparate sources such as those available on a network such as the Internet. A network compatible/addressable interface device is operated by a user. The network interface device communicates with local datastores or network accessible datastores via an addressing scheme such as Uniform Resource Locator addresses (URLs) utilized by the Internet. Data passing between the network interface device and the datastores is accessed, polled, and retrieved through an intermediary gateway system. Such aggregated information is then synthesized, customized, personalized and localized to meet the information resource requests specified by the user via the network interface device.

Abstract: A signal from each of an array of microphones is analyzed. For at least one subset of microphone signals, a time difference is estimated, which characterizes the relative time delays between the signals in the subset. A direction is estimated from which microphone inputs arrive from one or more acoustic sources, based at least partially on the estimated time differences. The microphone signals are filtered in relation to at least one filter transfer function, related to one or more filters. A first filter transfer function component has a value related to a first spatial orientation of the arrival direction, and a second component has a value related to a spatial orientation that is substantially orthogonal in relation to the first. A third filter function may have a fixed value. A driving signal for at least two loudspeakers is computed based on the filtering.

Abstract: A spreader (100) has material storage means (1) for storing a spreadable material (2), a plurality of spinners (5, 6) adapted to receive the material from the storage means and to spread the material (2) on the ground, and a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver (8) for sensing the position of the spreader (100) and providing an output signal indicative of a position of the spreader to a control means (7). The control means (7) calculates a required pattern and density of material (2) to be spread by the spinners (5, 6) based on a comparison of the actual position of the spreader (A) to a preferred position of the spreader (I), and controls the spinners (5, 6) in order to obtain the required pattern and density of spread material (2). A method of controlling the pattern and density of material spread by a spreader is also disclosed.

Abstract: A database graphical comparison tool allows comparing database items that include multiple database statements and graphically displaying the comparison results in a ranked list of database statements. The graphical comparison tool includes a graphical user interface that allows a user to easily configure the tool for both manual and automatic (or scheduled) comparisons. In addition, the user may specify one or more actions that may be autonomically performed when the comparison of database items meets predefined criteria. Database items that may be compared using the database graphical comparison tool include optimizer monitors and plan cache snapshots.

Abstract: A complex, water soluble polysaccharide fraction having potent immunostimulatory activity isolated from Aloe vera. The polysaccharide fraction has an apparent molecular weight above 2 million daltons. Its major glycosyl components are glucose, galactose, mannose and arabinose. The invention further includes pharmaceutical compositions containing the instant polysaccharide fraction, optionally in combination with acceptable pharmaceutical carriers and/or excipients. These pharmaceutical compositions may be used to provide immunostimulation to an individual in need of such treatment by administering to such an individual an effective amount of the composition. The polysaccharide fraction is also useful as a component of dietary supplements and as a standardization component of commercial Aloe products.

One embodiment of the device includes a controller having memory, a first modem in communication with the controller, and a first power line interface including a second modem, wherein the second modem is in communication with the controller. The center plate includes transverse walls disposed between and coupling the side walls of the shielding cage to one another. The center plate separating the ports and defines a chamber between the transverse walls and the side walls of the shielding cage. The electromagnetic seal element is disposed in the chamber of the center plate and engages the transverse walls of the center plate to prevent electromagnetic interference within the center plate from radiating through the mating interface.
