Publication number: 20240188972Abstract: A system has an outer catheter and an inner aspirating clot retrieval catheter having an expansile distal tip for flow restriction, improved aspiration efficiency, and a large mouth into which a clot or other obstructions can be retrieved. The clot retrieval catheter can have a support tube proximal of the tip. The expansile tip can be a strut framework, and a flexible, low-modulus cover is disposed around at least a portion of the tip strut framework and the proximal support tube. The distal end of the tip can be encapsulated by a low-friction elastomeric lip for atraumatic contact with the walls of a blood vessel. Patent number: 11998223Abstract: A device for removing clot from a blood vessel includes a shaft. An expandable framework of struts is fixedly coupled to a distal region of the shaft. The struts can be radially expandable from a first to a second radially expanded state in a deployed configuration. An actuation cable can be connected to a plurality of connections of the engaging framework of struts to apply an expansion force, by the struts, as the struts are actuated by the actuation cable from the first radially expanded state to the second radially expanded state. In the first radially expanded state, a distal end of the struts is spaced a first axial distance away from the shaft, and wherein in the second radially expanded state, a distal end of the struts is spaced a second axial distance, different than the first axial distance, away from the shaft.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2021Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Assignee: NEURAVI LIMITEDInventors: Eamon Brady, Michael Gilvarry, Mahmood K. Patent number: 11944333Abstract: A system for removing an obstruction from a blood vessel. The system can include a catheter with a proximal section with a proximal section lumen diameter and a distal section with a distal section lumen diameter less than the proximal section lumen diameter. The system can include a clot retrieval device with a clot engaging element. The system can include a shaft advanceable through the lumen of the catheter to the obstruction in the vessel. The shaft can include a shaft proximal section, a shaft distal section attached to the clot engaging element with a diameter less than that of the shaft proximal section and configured to cross the obstruction. The shaft proximal section diameter can be larger than the diameter of the distal section lumen diameter of the catheter, thereby inhibiting the shaft proximal section from distally advancing through the catheter distal section.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2021Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: NEURAVI LIMITEDInventor: David Vale

Publication number: 20240091492Abstract: The designs herein can be for a flexible and kink-resistant catheter with a support tube which can be radially expanded to enable it to be slid over an inner liner on a mandrel during assembly. The designs are flexible enough to allow the catheter to access remote vessel occlusions but also benefit from good compressive and tensile stiffness. The designs can have a laser cut frame with interlocking structure of circumferentially discontinuous rib struts. The discontinuities can be aligned to form at least one continuous axial seam which is separable to allow for the radial expansion during manufacturing. A series of polymeric outer jackets can coat or encapsulate the struts of the frame, giving variable stiffness and preventing disengagement of the interlocking structure while the catheter is pushed through tortuous anatomy.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Applicant: Neuravi LimitedInventor: David VALE

Patent number: 11864781Abstract: A device for removing a clot from a vessel can have dual layers where an inner expandable body runs within an outer expandable body. The device can have a collapsed delivery configuration, an expanded deployed configuration, and a clot pinching configuration. The inner and outer bodies can be a plurality of cells formed by a network of struts. The openings of the cells align when the device is deployed within the clot, where the radial force from the expanding bodies urges portions of the clot through the openings. The inner and outer bodies can be configured to be selectively translatable relative to each other, so that the portions of the clot in the cell openings can be compressed and gripped when the translation transitions the device to the clot pinching configuration. The translation can be maintained to pinch the clot as it is retrieved from the patient.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2020Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignees: NEURAVI LIMITED, BIOSENSE WEBSTER (ISRAEL) LTD.Inventors: Avi Shalgi, David Vale
