  • Publication number: 20210230691
Abstract: Compositions and methods for highly specific nucleic acid probes and primers are provided. The probe system comprises a complement strand and a protector stand that form a partially double-stranded probe. The reaction standard free energy of hybridization between the probe and target nucleic acid as determined by Expression 1 (?G°rxn=?G°t-TC??G°nh-PC+(?G°v-TC??G°h-PC)) is from about ?4 kcal/mol to about +4 kcal/mol. Alternatively, the reaction standard free energy of hybridization between the probe and target nucleic acid is determined by Expression 1 to be within 5 kcal/mol of the standard free energy as determined by Expression 2 (?R?ln(([P]0?[C]0)/[C]0)]), where the [P]0 term of Expression 2 equals the concentration of the protector strand and the [C]0 term of Expression 2 equals the concentration of the complement strand. In addition, a method for on-the-fly fine tuning of a reaction using the present probe is provided.

  • Publication number: 20210226956
Abstract: Described are techniques for an access management protocol including a method comprising associating a granted permission set and a constrained permission set to a user profile in an access management system. Respective granted permissions in the granted permission set authorize the user profile to perform the respective granted permissions, and respective constrained permissions in the constrained permission set preclude the user profile from performing the respective constrained permissions. The method further comprises receiving a permission-based request at the access management system and from the user profile and determining that the permission-based request is associated with a permission that is included in both the granted permission set and the constrained permission set. The method further comprises rejecting the permission-based request.

  • Publication number: 20200002759
Abstract: Provided are methods for characterizing nucleotide accessibility and nucleic acid structure at single nucleotide resolution, using a combination of low-yield bisulfite conversion and next-generation sequencing (NGS). Cytosine (C) nucleotides that are in base-paired states or bound to proteins, etc. are less accessible to chemical reactions and thus exhibit lower bisulfite conversion yields. Analysis of NGS results of a low-yield bisulfite conversion product can thus inform nucleotide accessibility and nucleic acid structure. Compared to other methods for chemical probing of nucleic acid structure, the present methods provide higher information throughput, because each NGS read simultaneously reports on the base pair status of multiple nucleotides.

  • Publication number: 20190038384
Abstract: A method and system for bone tissue regeneration in association with a predetermined dental bone structure obtains a computerized tomography scan of a dental bone structure on which to regenerate bone tissue. A three-dimensional model digitally represents the dental bone structure. A treatment plan corresponding to said three-dimensional model and a design order permit forming an occlusive barrier for covering the portion of the dental bone structure whereupon to regenerate bone tissue. An occlusive barrier from a biocompatible material and an osteoconductive material form flesh and regenerated bone tissue via osteoconduction. The occlusive barrier includes irrigation channels for permitting flushing of said interior volume and may be formed of pieces printed for forming a volume to regenerate bone tissue. The occlusive barrier may be subjected to a heat treatment for alleviating molecular stress and increasing occlusive barrier ductility and strength.

  • Publication number: 20180316607
Abstract: A device receives traffic; identifies an address associated with the traffic; determines whether the address is associated with an aggregate interface, the aggregate interface being associated with a first port and a second port. The first port corresponds to a first node in a first state, that indicates that the first node is available to forward the traffic, and the second port corresponds to a second node in a second state, that indicates that that the second node is not available to forward the traffic. The device transmits the traffic to the first node via the first port and to the second node, via the second port, when the address is associated with the aggregate interface. Transmitting the traffic enables the second node to forward the traffic when the first node changes from the first state to the second state.
